This was a really solid 4 star read! The concept of the story was really great and I think it was executed well! I really enjoyed the forbidden aspect of Icarus & Helios and I loved that they found their way to each other despite all of the odds being against them. I also really loved how much all of Icarus’ friends loved him even while he was trying to keep his distance from him! But also at times, I almost felt like there were too many characters/things going on for the plot to flow as well as it could’ve. I also would’ve loved to see more interactions with Icarus & his dad to really have understood why his dad changed so quickly after so many years of treating him horribly. Also loved the intersex & EDS rep!

Omg I loved this one so much!! Like maybe my favorite book of all the Sadenverse books I’ve read so far! 😍 Seth & Cohen were literally perfect, I love them so much and honestly just want to read a million more stories about them! The demisexual rep in this was *chefs kiss* and I loved how much it was talked about and explained, even after they got together! Oh my gosh, I just seriously loved this one so so much!!!

This was really cute!! ☺️ I haven’t seen my fair lady so I honestly didn’t know what to expect going in but I’m glad I gave it a shot! I love YA books that revolve around theater, I’m not sure why because I’ve never done theater but they’re always so much fun and this one was no exception! It did stress me out quite a bit with the whole love triangle aspect but everything ended up good so it was okay 😂 also I would’ve loved to get more depth into Elijah’s struggles to know himself and how he was able to grow throughout the story and more about Wades struggle to live up to the expectations he put on himself because of his family! Overall though, this was a very cute and quick read that I would recommend! ☺️

WTF 🙃 I don’t even think I have words… I was really enjoying the first half of the book (besides pip constantly going on runs in the woods by herself when she’s literally being stalked 🤦🏻‍♀️) and then the second half pissed me off so much! Like literally wtf was that? How was anyone happy with this ending? The whole thing was just dumb and didn’t feel like Pip or Ravi at all. I can’t 😒

This was the easiest five stars I’ve given in a while! I knew I was gonna love this book and by god was I right! This is one of those books that I know is going to live inside my heart forever, it’s one I wish I could live in forever, it’s truly just so good!

I’ve started to slowly get into historical fiction in the last year or so-and I especially love queer historical fiction-and something about this book felt different than others I’ve read in a more real way, I guess? Like I think the way that Cat was able to write both Nick and Andy and make them both so full and complex as characters, the way she was able to give them a happy ending without it being unbelievable for the time, and the way that she was able to let the progression of the story and of their relationship shape in a way that they were able to love and trust each other while still having the normal fears and anxieties just made the story feel like these two characters could really be real people in history and I just loved everything about it so much!

I loved the way that the story was told in parts and it split between Nick and Andy’s perspective during different developments in the story. Being able to be inside of both of their heads, at different times, really helped so the progression of both them as people but also the growth of their relationship was so beautiful!

I seriously just loved everything about this book so so much and you’ve probably already had people recommend it to you but I need everyone to read this book and fall in love with Nick & Andy because they deserve the world 🥺

This was very cute!! Books like this always remind me why I still love YA books so much, they just make me feel so nostalgic in ways I’ll never been able to explain! I really loved Noah and getting to see him go through his journey and finally accepting himself and feeling confident after everything he has been through! I really loved the whole supporting cast and how much they all love and accepted Noah for exactly who he was with no questions asked, their little found family might’ve been dysfunctional most of the time but it was also just so sweet! I really liked Asher and could feel myself really start to fall in love with him by the end but I would’ve loved to be able to get to know him even more after he finally started to let his walls down! And the only reason this didn’t get a full 5 stars is a lot of the hijinks towards the beginning stressed me out lol but other than that this was wonderful! 🥰

This was very cute!! I would say it’s a quick read (and which technically it is) but it took me to long to actually get through it 🙈 not because I wasn’t enjoying it, I’ve just been busy and also struggling to physically read lately! But anyway, this was very cute! Fake Dating & Childhood best friends to lovers are my two favorite tropes so this was the perfect book for me! And the fact those two things were topped with a queer awakening and Christmas time made it even better! I do think they moved very fast and it was a little jarring that the fake dating ended before it really began but the fact that they’ve known each other their whole lives helped with the fast pace of their relationship! Also I adored Clara’s parents & Bagel so so much!

Wow, this was raw and gut wrenching but also so full of hope! Growing up in most types of religion is difficult, especially if you’re queer but I can’t imagine growing up in a cult like this one. It’s heartbreaking knowing that people are going through this every single day and have no idea how wrong it is or even know that you can have a life outside of it. I grew up in church and I’ll always carry some religious trauma with me but I’m lucky enough to have parents that never bought into the toxic bullshit that is organized christianity, thank god. One of my favorite things about this book was how it didn’t end perfectly or wrapped up with a bow, it was hopeful and full of possibilities which is exactly how a story like this should end! I definitely recommend this if you’re a queer person that grew up religious but as always go in knowing that it could be triggering so take care of yourself 💙
