Yall, this was so freaking cute!! I was very excited for this one and then I heard some mixed reviews so I was nervous but I loved it!! Right out of the gate, the banter between Truly & Colin was absolute šŸ”„ and it never stopped throughout every stage of their relationship! Like they had me giggling out loud multiple times throughout the story! I do see how people could find Truly annoying but I honestly loved how big her heart is and how much she cared about the people she loved and I think by the end she had great character development! Colin was a fantastic love interest that felt fully formed on his own and I loved getting to see different sides of him throughout the book 🄰 I also loved the conversation on bi erasure and not feeling queer enough when you’re straight passing! I just really loved this one a lot! 🄰

I loved this so much!! I love reading books about alternative types of relationships and this is the first time I’ve read one quite like this and I’d love to read even more in the future! I loved Mel, Bebe, & Kade so much and the dynamic between  each of them as couples and then as a throuple was so different and I loved how much they were able to express themselves so fully with each other! I also loved Mel’s friendship with Daniel and the emphasis on every type of relationship being just as important as romantic ones! I also really loved how communication was handled throughout the story! The only thing that kept me from giving it a full 5 stars is that by the time it got to the cocktail competition, it seemed a little unimportant but I really loved how everything played out so that’s okay! A definite recommend for me! 🄰

I wanted to rate this one higher but for some reason it just left me kind of unsatisfied? For one, it almost felt like 2 separate books all jammed into 1 and I think there was just so much going on that I couldn’t fully connect with the characters. Also I’m pretty sure I’ve read a book just like the first half of this and it’s driving me crazy that I can’t remember what it was šŸ˜‚ I did really love the trans and queer rep, everything felt really authentic and was messy which made it realistic! Overall, it left me a little disappointed but I still liked it!

This was so sweet!! It took me a few chapters to really get into it but once I did, I loved it! I adored both Perry & Theo and loved being in both of their heads. It was wonderful to see how much they were able to help each other and especially help each other see the best in themselves and find more confidence in the things they were afraid of! I also loved getting to see so much more of Ty & Brax! They were my favorite FU1 couple so I was excited to see more of them! 🄰 overall, a really sweet start to FU2!

This was so wonderful!! 🄺 while it was definitely emotional and gave me a lot of deep feelings, it was also just so joyful! Felipe & Caio were so sweet and their slow burn was so worth the wait! I think it was also great to see both Felipe & Caio realize that even if people seem to be confident and have everything together, everyone has their own struggles and it’s okay to open up and be vulnerable and let yourself have happiness! Just really loved this one!

While I liked this and think it’s a really good book and a very important read, I couldn’t rate it higher than 4 stars šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø it’s definitely a case of it’s not you, it’s me because I very much believe this book is great but I’m just not a literary fiction girl, as much as I want to be šŸ˜… I also think the jumping timeline left me confused in parts which took away from the experience and I’m still confused why she was blue lol but overall, this is a great book about identity, family, love, and humanity that I would recommend! ā˜ŗļø

I’ve never been disappointed by one of Racquel’s books and this one is no different! This is Me Trying is a gut wrenching story that deals with grief and explores the different ways people live through it. I loved that the story was able to show so many different outcomes of grief because it’s such a personal thing and everyone deals with it so differently! There was a lot I was able to relate myself with Santi specifically, especially in the way his OCD manifested. OCD is such a complex and misunderstood mental illness and unless you’ve had to deal with it, it’s impossible to truly understand. It’s exhausting and illogical and consuming and no matter how much you know that your brain is lying to you, you can’t control it! I’m so glad we’re getting more books that explore OCD in real ways without it being a cute quirk like a lot of the world seems to think! I just very much recommend this one but make sure you’re in the right headspace because it’s pretty heavy!

This book took me way too long to finally pick up but I loved it!! Joy was so unapologetic about who she is and while she still struggled with feelings of inadequacy (especially revolving around relationships) she knew exactly who she was and didn’t hesitate to tell people. I think her inadequacy struggles is what mainly kept her yearning for Malcolm even though she knew they would be terrible for each other. I loved Fox a lot and I loved how he was able to help Joy realize that she could be loved the way she wants! My only complaint is that I wish we got more Fox and I think it would’ve been great to have a little more in the end! But overall, it was really cute!! 🄰

This was so powerful and devastating read! It’s definitely a book that while it’s short, it still needs to be given time and thought while you’re reading to really let it absorb. I think it’s a very important read and I’d very much recommend it to everyone!

I’ve been impatiently anticipating this getting to this book since I met Will in Fool Hearts and it did not disappoint! This is the most unique poly book I’ve read and I loved every single thing about it! Will, Tru, & Coop were all so well fleshed out and lovable and I truly could read so many more stories about them! My favorite thing about this story was how easily they had open and honest conversations with each other and how well they set boundaries and expectations in their relationship. It was just so refreshing and beautiful! And although Will & Tru had a longer history, it never felt like Coop didn’t belong with them and I just loved how effortlessly they fit together! Just loved this one a lot!!
