Are you in the mood for 500 pages of Fantasy-Jeeves?  Here ya go!  Roger Mulligan, our MC, is ex-military, ex-paramedic, and looking for work, when he's given a 'too good to be true' offer, looking after a rich old man who "thinks he's a wizard."

There's heaps of detail about what being a butler may involve, probably too much detail to be honest, because this book could happily have been 100 pages shorter.  (Installing an internet connection was a good chunk of pages in itself!)  There is magic, paranormal creatures, etc., but it's not gone into in very much detail, it just provides colour for the world-building.  And, there's a little conflict in relation to Mulligan's employer, the conniving niece of Mr "think's he's a wizard" who wants him safely ensconced in a care home so she can take over the house, but it's very mild.  No sex, no violence.

All in all, if you want to read something very low-key and cosy af, this is a good candidate -- but will be TOO laid-back for some.
