Have been 'not' reading this for 2-3 years ... could not make much sense of the plot at a third of the way in, nor cared about the characters, so am calling it a day.

Enemies to Lovers is not a favourite trope of mine, and I would have pushed through except for the late-twenties MCs behaving like teenagers.  

Not a bad book from what I read, just, not for me!

If Gertrude Stein wrote sci-fi ... 

Doing what it sets out to do well, I think, but I don't have the patience for word-play to be the whole of my reading experience.

Moving much too fast for me, no time to care about any characters or see much of the world-building. 

Also a wild amount of swearing! I'm all for people expressing their fucking feelings, lol, but this was relentless.

Not engaged by the plot/characters so far, and backing out before the point other reviewers say content warnings start to kick in.  (Not in the mood for a violent read.)

Cannot get over Harrow's treatment of Gideon, and her 'indentured servant from birth' background.  I read detailed spoilers, and either it's not challenged at all, or it's so minor the summariser didn't include it.  But that's a freaking big deal to me, esp with the relationship developing between Gideon and Harrow.  

I'm clearly not going to have the amazing reading experience everyone else is having.  Sad, and don't let it put you off the book if you've yet to pick it up ... but if it's not your vibe, don't struggle with it for a year like I did.  Fly free to the next book you'll love!

Fascinating world-building, but much more violence and body horror than I'm comfortable with at the moment.

Not vibing with the writing style here ... esp. the infodumps and clunky flashbacks for family history etc.
