Incredible book—I don’t read a lot of science fiction, especially books like this that border on horror, but Hell Followed With Us was amazingly well-written, filled with raw emotions and beautiful characters.

Well-written with an intriguing premise, but I spent most of the book very confused. (Not sure if I was just skimming / too tired to understand, or if things genuinely needed more explanation.) I love how it ended and can’t wait to see what happens in the sequel.

I really enjoyed this book!! The slow pacing was a little difficult for me, but it started picking up towards the end and was a very interesting story all the way through! Gen started off as a funny but annoying character, but by the last page I absolutely loved them. <3 Highly recommend if you like shorter, lighthearted and adventurous books.

This was an incredibly unique queer retelling of an Aurthurian legend. The author’s myth-like writing style was amazing, and I’m obsessed with all of the characters and their interactions + relationships. If you’re looking for a quick, beautifully written story, I recommend this one.

initial thoughts:
i am completely heartbroken and utterly amazed with this book, i feel very dazed and am probably going to cry over it as soon as i get home. ddfintey be careful if you decide to read this book, because it talks about some sensitive/triggering topics, but if you can read it i highly recommend it.

thoughts right now:
- amazing amazing book
- kind of like if hunger games and ready player one had a baby that was really good at hacking
- i only predicted a couple of the major plot twists, and part of the end really blew my mind
- hideo felt a little like a standard-ya-love-interest (rich, cold, standoffish, etc.) and i didn’t really like him
- i wish the main character had spent more time with her teammates, because they seemed like fantastic characters (but it seems like they’ll have more page time in the future)
