I enjoyed this book, I didn’t think it would be that dark but it was pretty dark, the spice was spicing ✨

SO GOOD. But to be honest some scenes had me a bit shocked, the author does prewarn and gives trigger warnings before you read but I continued through. Really good world building, the characters are great and the spice scenes are Wowie, this is my second dark romance read so I don’t know if there is worst dark books than this (in a good way)

The scenes were darker than the first and I’ll be honest reading through this just made me angry, this book should honestly be a reminder to all of us females that what’s happened in this book is happening everyday in reality, I cried a few times because it’s just horrible to know this but it really brought awareness to me. I knew it was happening, but with how dark the scenes are in this book it really brings that deepened awareness that you need. Again I love the characters, the dark scenes I did not love of course, I think both books are really well written and I’m really glad the awareness it’s brought out about what happens everyday in the real world.

I watched Eragon as a child and finally decided to read the book.

OH MY GOD. THE BOOK IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE MOVIE!! The world building, the amount of detail going into the bond with Eragon and Saphira. The places they visit, the characters. BROM I love brom!!! Honestly I enjoyed reading this book so much, I felt like a child again but discovering so much more about Eragon than I did before!

It has Elves, Dwarves, Dragons, monsters I guess? The urgals?

I’m excited to read the next few books!!

This book was a really good read! There isn’t much plot but I see the plot more as you’re learning about maxi and learning about how her bond with Riftan strengthening.

Riftan is THE man, protective, obsessed, and his longing need for maxi is so attractive. It’s attractive how he looks after her and praises her and treats her like a queen! It’s a really good read and honestly had my kicking my feet and giggling a lot! I can’t wait for the next novel to come out!

I was interested to read some of these Japanese folk tales. I found some were super interesting and some didn’t really grasp me.

I liked that also some of them freaked me out a bit, the one where the priests ears get cut off. I think two actually upset me, the one with the duck and the woman who was made from a tree that got cut down!
