I enjoyed the previous book TO CATCH AN EARL a LOT and when I saw that THE PRINCESS AND THE ROGUE was about one of my favourite tropes ever "The Princess falls in love with her bodyguard" I was even more excited to read it.
My enjoyment was worth 4 stars but the whole story is probably a 2/3 stars read. It was hard for me to like Sebastien as a hero because he was constantly thinking about Anya in a sexual way. It wasn't like there were a lot of sex scenes but his thoughts were too sexual and it gets really tiring to read about a hero who only thinks with his penis. Because of that I didn't buy the romance, yes they had chemistry but their relationship felt like it was based more on lust than love.
Aside from that I really enjoyed the secondary characters, there were a lot of scenes with Sebastien and his friends that made me laugh out loud.
Even if I wasn't a fan of Anya and Sebastien as a couple I enjoyed reading this book, I was on a reading slump when I started THE PRINCESS AND THE ROGUE and I could get into the story since the very beggining.
TO sum up If you're looking for a fun and sexy historical romance THE PRINCESS AND THE ROGUE is for you but if you're looking for a slow burn romance you won't find it here.

La verdad lo estaba re esperando pero no me termino de convencer la historia, mucha química entre los dos, sí, no te lo niego y la autora tiene la capacidad de engancharte desde el principio pero 1) siendo él tan inteligente ¿Cómo no se va a dar cuenta que ella es ELLA solo porque se cambio el peinado y maquillaje? y 2) no me siento cómoda con esta idea fantasiosa de que la prostitución es un trabajo glamoroso.
Un caso de no sos vos, soy yo, no me gustan las historias con muchos flashbacks, quise darle una oportunidad pero ese estilo no es para mi, de todas formas quiero seguir leyendo a esta autora.
