I tried to start this book, after liking book 1 and not liking book 2, just so I could get the ball rolling and see if it got any better. I didn’t get far, but it absolutely did not get better before I just admitted to myself I was not going to like it. Annoyingly, I liked the prologue but the second it got to Emilia’s POV I couldn’t take it.

Something about this book didn’t work for me. Every time I picked it up, I enjoyed it less. The writing didn’t work for me, the characters were not likeable, and the plot started getting annoying. I don’t outright hate it but I can’t really bear to pick up book 3
