This story only gets better the more I read I like reading more about Aoi and Himari and the Ayakashi. The characters are still very likable Himari becomes determined to find some way for Aoi to leave to be able to have a life outside. I really like kind and gentle Aoi I really like how their relationship ia slowly progressing.

I loved this book the author never disappoints everything from the characters to the story was amazing looking forward to reading more of the series. The characters were great to read about I especially loved Piper, Ash and Lyre all three added so much to the story. What I loved about Piper was her determination to get where she wants and her strength both of will and actual strength and I like when she really starts to care she won't give up on someone. What I liked about Ash despite his cold demeanor on many things there is so much more to him looking forward to where his and Piper's relationship goes from here. What I liked about Lyre despite his flirty nature he is an incubus after all is he is loyal and willing to what he can for those he cares about. The story was really interesting it starts with Piper doing her job as a apprentice Consul and Ash doing what she should of and her getting in trouble where there are things with both Lyre and Ash after awhile something terrible happens and she and Ash, and Lyre are blamed for it so they are on the run to clear their names and to rescue Piper's Dad many things are found out and it ends with Piper saying she will not give up on Ash looking forward to reading more.

This book was really unique never read anything quite like a great gothic mystery with a good amount of romance thrown in. I really loved Tillie for her uniqueness her intelligence and her determination to solve the murder of her sister even if she did spend much of the story on drugs not really her fault since she was injured at the beginning and doctors in that time period relied on those types of things as medicine even if she did become dependent on them by the end. I also really liked Ian from whom she learned of her sister's murder they get closer I really loved their romance it was all well written and he just fits so well with Tillie. The story was great it starts with Tillie saying how she just always does or says the wrong things and her sister helps her she then gets injured right here is where she starts to take drugs and eventually becomes dependent on them she meets Ian who is a newsie finds out about her sister because determined to solve her murder this leads her to finding out things the killer is found out and we have a nice happy ending will read more books by this author.

This book is always funny and very interesting I love the characters always a joy to read about. The characters are still very entertaining I love Scarlett most of all I also love Charlemagne so much he is often misunderstood the characters around both of them are amazing as well. I love how Scarlett gets revenge on the terrible Duke it is so funny what she does to him. I also love how her relationship with her brother Isar has been repaired. I love how she tries to get Charlemagne to dump her but it never works it just makes him like her more. The story is interesting the first part talks about Scarlett wanting to leave and make money she gets into shenanigans some other terrible things happen there is much intriguing things going on it is also very hysterical loved it so much looking forward to reading more.
