This series is amazing and well written it picks up a little while after the other starts with a little aftermath of what happened at the end of the last volume. The characters are still great especially MaoMao she is still a breath of fresh air and mostly does what she wants. The aftermath of the last volume is touched upon Jinshi feels both awkward and ashamed for many reasons and MaoMao is avoiding him. The plot is really interesting it starts with Jinshi agonizing about what happened before with something hilarious happening at the end. Many things happen in the story with MaoMao's paternal family along with Lishu being framed and the fallout from tha will read more soon.

I loved this book just as much as the other ones I really enjoyed I really like a good redemption story very much. I really loved the characters especially Jamie and Lucien they had great chemistry it also helped that Jamie had visions of him so he knew of what he did. I liked the strange and quirky Jamie who has always had visions so it makes him seem like he has his head in the clouds but there is way more than that to him. I liked Lucien for despite how he thinks he is unredeemable Jamie helps him understand that he is worthy of redemption. I also liked that the other characters appear and they are starting slowly to repair their relationship a small amount at a time Lucien and Roman that is. The plot was great it starts with Jamie telling of his visions by how he knew his Father was going to leave and never come back so Jamie is very misunderstood because of his abilities and we are back with Lucien has he goes through life until he meets Jamie and things go off from there looking forward to reading more.

I love this story it has been a long time since I read it more than twenty years maybe the story still holds up to this day. I really loved the characters especially Daine she is a very strong character whom has strong magic and communicates with all kinds of animals. She is very interesting getting along with certain people and doing what she can not to cause war since they are in a country that has attacked Tortall before. There are many great characters along with characters that were easy to hate all so very interesting to read. The plot was great it starts with the Tortall group going to Carthak for diplomatic reasons things happen the evil mage Ozorne does many not so great things and it ends looking forward to reading more.

I just love these books there is always something new and interesting in each volume love the characters and story. I really loved the characters especially Maomao she is no no nonsense and doesn't suffer fools I also came to like Yao and En'en they added much to the story. I also liked many repeating characters from previous volumes like Loumen who is court doctor plus Maomao's father he is rather inciteful and very interesting to read about. I really loved the plot it starts with Maomao talking the test again to become a court lady she passes is bullied a little not that she cares meets Yao and En'en they slowly start to get along there is a shrine maiden in which there is a mystery about many things happen looking forward to reading more.

I loved this one even more than the last one since there was more Jinshi this go round the story and characters are amazing. I loved the characters very much especially Maomao and Jinshi I just think they fit so well together and Jinshi is willing to do so much just to be with her. There are many great characters to read about how Lakan acts is just so funny to me there are many other characters that just add so much to the story. The plot is so interesting it starts by talking of a Go tournament that Lakan is having and how Jinshi enters it to get something from Lakan if he wins. There is also more of the insect invasion getting closer and the things to do with that. At the end Jinshi is really brazen and is willing to go that far for what and whom he wants. So overall I loved this volume will continue it soon.
