#1 Once Upon a December Nightmare
Cherie Reich's way with words sets the story and the eerie, snowy setting. Cassie and three friends go on a late night, off-roading adventure. Things get frightening when a fallen tree blocks their path and deer carcasses are found with their throats chewed out. Then the truck loses its headlights, forcing them to go on foot. This reads a lot like a horror story where the characters aren't all that smart. 1. They go on a offroad trip with an old truck on E. 2. Not walking the shortest distance to the main road. 3. Spitting up. The end was very exciting though. I was on the edge of my seat. 4 stars
#2 Nightmare Ever After
We're back n Tree Branch Trail! This story is partly in the perspective of an FBI Special Agent. The FBI agent works with Cassie to find the killer. He gets a little too friendly with her when they first meet (chin touching and caressing). I also found this to be slower than the first one, but the end was exciting. I like how things worked out. 3 stars
#3 Good Nightmare, Scary Monster
This story is in the perspective of the monster, which I thought was really neat. The best part is that he;s a kid, so we finally get to find out how he starts killing. 5 stars
Overall, these stories were very enjoyable and perfect to read in October or even December.

Interesting. I for sure thought there would've been frog kissing not frog throwing. Haha.
52 Likes starts with a horrifying moment that no girl or woman ever wants to go through (should never have to) and yet they do. The rape scene is haunting, horrible, and reads so real. I feel for Valerie. I feel her grief and pain. Her rapist wore a mask, his voice gruff, his cologne familiar but she didn't recognize him. This man who took a piece of her and changed her life forever.
Valerie's not looking forward to going back to school after spring break, afraid her friends would've figure out her secret. And after something foolish she did the previous year, she's worried more than ever that she'll be bullied and called a slut who asked for it.
When Valerie starts to get odd pictures through social media, each with 52 likes, a mystery unfolds that's connected to her and the rape. This story had me on the edge of my seat with a broken heart. I was rooting for Valerie from beginning to end. I wanted her rapist to pay!
5 stars! Recommended to anyone who doesn't mind rape scenes.

I've always said that Yolanda Renee is the Queen of Flash Fiction with a Twist. You can count on all of her stories not being what you expect. Once you think you have it figured out, she surprises you. I couldn't see any of the endings coming. There's revenge, murder, romance, and suspense. The stories feature demons, ghosts, cannibals and much more. There is definitely something for everyone. She includes drabbles (stories of 100 words exactly) and micro flash fiction (stories of 150 words). There's also beautiful poetry, which was a special treat. Her poems are one of a kind and each one has a meaning behind it. Yolanda Renee even shares the inspiration behind each story. I liked reading what pushed her to write each story/poem.
When Zombies Attack is the first story in the collection. It was well thought out and written. The ending was brilliant too. I want to thank Mike for daring her to write it.
The next story is The Mausoleum, which ends on a cliffhanger and a question from Yolanda if she should continue the story. I think she should! There's a lot of unanswered questions and the promise of an adventure.
There's too many stories to list here but I truly enjoyed each one. If you love flash/micro fiction and poetry, read this!
