Though I am conflicted by some of the opinions presented in this book, I recognize that the author did a great job of laying out the different perspectives on the topic. The question of ownership truly stands out and as an educator, it is a question that I find myself considering often.
The audiobook was well paced, but not always engaging. I sometimes found myself distracted.

I came into this audiobook with an open mind (aka very little knowledge regarding Snowden and the situation as I was just a teenager when it was taking place) and was pleasantly surprised by both the information provided and the writing style used. Autobiographies can be a hit or a miss for me, but this definitely hit the spot - especially the excerpts from his partner. Hearing her side, and acknowledging her fears, was refreshing and insightful. I'm looking forward to buying a physical copy to add to my shelf!
Definitely a strong YA - I picked it up for a challenge, and in all honesty, I will most likely recommend it to some of my students. While the plot is heavy, I enjoyed the character development. I am not the main audience for this book as the writing style isn't necessarily for me but overall, a solid and quick read.
Was the cheating necessary? And even besides that, the characters were flat and the underlying issues regarding self esteem and girl-on-girl hate left a bad taste in the mouth.
The build up is cute, but it’s definitely hindered by the third act break up and even I can admit the last chapter is satisfying.

I’m so glad it’s over 😭 I want to like historical romances SO BAD but I can’t do it. I think this might be my breakup with specifically highland romances.
"You'll like the second one better!!" I mean...yeah, but barely. I understand why it's a popular series, really, I do. I just don't think it's the series for me. Characters feel flat and I can never fully immerse myself in the setting. I don't mind historical romance, but nothing is drawing me back into this family for their "main" stories. It's like I like these characters as support-characters rather than main characters: Anthony in the first book was hilarious, whereas in this one he was only 2D. Does that make sense?
The plot twist! The drama! Things are picking up for our idiot heroine! I'm so excited to read the next volume :)
