Once again Griffin pulls the reader into a world outside their own! In this stand alone novel with follow Tana as she has to decide if she will follow the chosen path that lays in front of her (expected of her from her family and coven) or if she will follow her heart and become the witch she is destined to be! Tana has always know she was to marry the Governor's son, from the mainland, Landon, who is a nice enough individual but doesn't make her feel alive. Tana does not feel sparks when she thinks of or even interacts with Landon. But then comes Wolfe, another witch who suddenly appears in her life from a different coven -- who by all rights shouldn't exist - -at least not as far as Tana has been taught. Tana must decide if she will play it safe in order to help her coven secure a relationship with the mainland and thus secure their safety or if she will risk it all for a chance to truly feel alive alongside Wolfe and his coven!

The reader follows June Jones as she fights to find herself again after losing her mother and finding out the one place she feels safe and secure may be taken from her. With the potential closure of her beloved library on the horizon June must decide just how important the library is to her, is it worth potentially losing her job (that would vanish alongside the library anyhow) in order to fight along side mishmash of individuals who find safety in the library. This novel is full of personal growth, grief, found family, friends to lovers romance, mental illness, determination, and a zest for life.

And another series has come and gone. Finished #ShipWrecked by #OliviaDade today.
I love the fact this series has had so much representation and that this one has two main characters that do not meet conventional standards, that there was fat representation throught this entire novel. Overall I loved this book, it's not an all time favourite but was a good quick read!

My mom was OBSSESSED with the show when it came out so I felt pulled to this book. I don't actually really remember too much from the show but this was a great behind the scenes look at the life of the Duggar's.
