super cute and cozy read. would be great for fall/Halloween. the classic grump x sunshine match up.

I'd give this a 3.5 the content warnings were a bit tough for me and I wasn't expecting that. appreciate the message of therapy and it felt like a very real and relatable story.

it starts off slow and took a while for me to get hooked in. the beginning has a big historical fiction feel. even though that is throughout the book it is really the only focus in setting the scene for the first half of the book.

after that it picked up for me and I enjoyed the ending. lots of topics covered and diversity representation.

this is a story I don't think manyknew before the movie and likely still don't know. it has so many turns and so many terrors. however the writing is very tough to get through.  glad I read it but would have preferred audio or a podcast.

this book was so much different than I expected. I thought it was going to be a cozy spooky silly story. it's actually very heavy with lots of plot points moving around. it covers lots of social issues but also has some things that come out of left field. I did like the ending.

this was an interesting biography. a scary tale with a very moving post script for current times. I did feel it was super long though and there were times I was drudging through it.

this is exactly as it is described. stories of their friendship and notes on how they make it stronger over time. including overcoming issues. while not overly groundbreaking to me it is still really good insights.

 this was very funny and relatable. it felt like one long stand up skit. I liked hearing her audiobook as well for her voice and tone. I just felt that it wasn't very binge-able to me. some of it was similar and got tiring. if I took longer to read this and treated each essay as different skits I think I would like it more.
