I like the premise of backstories to fairy tales. I didn't find myself resonating as much with the collection though. it is very empowerment focused.

came across this on tiktok as bad boy/morally gray love interest vibes. it didn't quite scratch the itch though. it is a bit of a slow burn and there is a lot of tension. the plot was interesting, but I don't feel the need to really read book 2.

this is a good light spooky read. I loved the diversity and the underlying messages throughout. a super easy and digestible read.

I enjoyed this as well. I am not sure which order I think they would be better read in, but you can see similarities in the plot and some repetitiveness which is fine for YA. I loved the themes throughout and while predictable, it was still a good read for young minds. lots of diversity, inclusion, and acceptance.

very honest and raw. while the writing style took some getting used to - some of the chapters or moments felt cut off. I love how relatable her inner monoglue was. this was different from what I was expecting based on other reviews, but I really enjoyed it.

I'm excited for the last book of the series. this was just ok - maybe my least favorite so far. mostly because the frequency of spiciness really takes away from the plot which I enjoy.

good spooky without being too scary. I liked the mythology it was based on but I wish that was explained in an authors note or something as I wasn't familiar about it before googling. easy read.

I liked this one. the topic of loss of a loved one is done really well. approachable but not too young.

I'd give this 4.5. such a raw and read migrant story. it is really emotional even though you know there must be some kind of happy ending for him to have written the book. truly eye opening.

for being written from the perspective a 9 year old you really get the feeling of waiting, boredom, pain, etc. the writing is very well done.

I only wish that final "epilogue" type chapter was a tiny bit longer.

I loved Blake's other book so I was really looking forward to this. she writes characters so well but the plot was just ok. I liked the ending but not sure I liked it enough to read the rest of the trilogy. here's to hoping readers get the enemies to lovers pay off in book 2 that I was hoping for here.
