This is my favorite book of the series!
Marriage of convenience never fails me, and this is no exception. I fell in love with Everly and Hux immediately, despite only getting a small preview of them in the first book. There's something about that single dad trope that just hits every single time, and Hux was really doing it for me. He's brooding and a basically a recluse but what he really cares about is getting custody of his daughter. He went to prison for making a mistake when he was younger and because of that, he hasn't ever really been involved in his daughter's life until recently. Now, in order to make a stronger case for the judge in court, he needs to get married and Everly offers to help him out. Of course, despite every effort not to and with a set expiration date on their "marriage", they fall in love anyways. Even though it was under three hundred pages long, it felt like a slow burn. Hux is definitely the grumpy type and Everly is absolute sunshine. As always, the small town romance and secondary supporting characters are amazing, particularly Hux's daughter, Savannah and her bestie (and maybe more?) Travis. Also? I was living for that drama with Katie! This was sexy and sweet and everything I wanted. I ate this up! You will too.
And as it turns out... the only people they were bluffing were themselves. ;)

I'm a sucker for anything Lucy Score and as usual, she did not fail me. This is the fourth or fifth book of I've read and it's in my top three for sure (behind Things We Never Got Over and The Worst Best Man). This was a very well done enemies to lovers book, and I ate it up. Their banter and back and forth was like no other. And the chemistry? White hot. Dominic and Ally have each met their match and it was so fun to watch their story unfold. There were laugh out loud parts, steamy scenes, moments that made me tear up, and an ending that had me in full blown tears. I love that Lucy Score often writes books with older characters (generally in their late thirties and into their forties) because that's something that we so rarely get to see. Ally was the kind of heroine that you just root for. Yes, her life has been hard and she could be mean and angry at times, but given all that she had faced and was facing, could you really blame her? Dom was rich, but used his money for good, especially when it came to Ally. I adored the way he just wanted to protect her and help her. As per usual, Lucy Score is the master at world building and creating secondary characters that you love almost as much as the main characters. I LOVE that this book was set in the #metoo era and discussed and dealt with important topics like consent and sexual harassment, particularly in the workplace. The character growth that both Ally and Dom went through was tremendous and so well done. I was so happy that they grew and evolved, and both got happy endings and ultimately, the things they wanted that were independent of each other. Also, the twist with Dom's mom at the end? Okay, I see you! And can we get a Faith and Christian book? I'd read the crap out of that.
Okay, this enemies to lovers absolutely did it for me. I was SO looking forward to Kerrigan and Pierce's book and let me just say, it was everything. I mean, they jumped to lust pretty quickly and their chemistry was off the charts. I really loved the push and pull that Kerrigan and Pierce had going on, as it added to their romance tremendously. Kerrigan was one tough cookie and never gave up, despite the odds, and despite Pierce sometimes making things just a little bit harder for her - but that's business, right? Also, can we talk about how fiercely protective Pierce was when it came to Kerrigan and her (at times) crappy family? I loved the way he defended her and despite all of her family's attempts to to change her, Pierce never once did that and always stood by her and supported her dreams and ambitions.
The thing I took one star off for was the twist... it was kind of a series of twists, but they were honestly... a lot. Like, pretty unbelievable. It just seemed like soap opera level drama and really not necessary I think. I am glad that things worked out for them all in the end, because I was holding my breath, trying to see if they could make it through ALL of those crazy obstacles. Overall, I really enjoyed the book and highly recommend checking it out. But be sure to read the others in the series!

I was actually plesantly surprised and really enjoyed this. I've never read any Nicole Snow books so I went into this one open minded. The premise and summary seemed like something I would like. It was great! Enemies to lovers, sort of fake marriage, insane banter, fighting over cinnamon rolls (the thing that brings them together), boss/employee, grumpy/sunshine, friendship and found family, a hot billionaire, spicy scenes, great supporting characters and a plot I really liked. It's long, but worth it. Dakota and Lincoln had such amazing chemistry! Their growth and evolution was just perfect. I also enjoyed the journey we see with Wyatt; it was so heartwarming and touching the way Lincoln cared for him and wanted the best for his friend. I loved the epilogue and the bonus scene we got. I definitely recommend checking this out!
I debated even leaving a review, because these are her own words, and I really don't like to review someone's memoir because it's their story and I would never truly want to assign a rating to that. However, I knew this was an automatic five stars from the get go because it is just SO well written. I've never read a memoir that had such great writing that you just immersed yourself in the words and were enthralled by the story that was being told about the own author's life. I knew that Jennette had suffered from some abuse in her life, and has been through traumatic events in her childhood and into her adulthood. But, I had no idea the depth and level of the things she suffered from. I felt deeply for her, as someone who has been through a traumatic childhood and adulthood as well, and it resonates with me. If you're looking for scandals and tea about actual celebrities, she really doesn't talk about that. She hints and insinuates, but the bulk of this is about her relationship with her abusive mother. The book is riddled with triggering content, so please be mindful of this when reading. It really makes you think about just how much these child actors and child stars have to go through and the impact that carries into adulthood; mentally, physically, and emotionally. It's such an impactful and poignant book, and certainly something everyone should read.
I know that many of us adored and loved and fawned over Ali Hazelwood's first book, The Love Hypothesis, but I was worried about how I would feel about her sophomore novel, especially after reading her novellas.
This book DID NOT DISAPPOINT. All of my fears quickly dissipated as I was transported into the story and remembered just how well Ali writes and how good she is at world building, her secondary characters, STEM and slow burn. Yes, it's kind of reminiscent of The Love Hypothesis - a quirky girl working in science and a tall, brooding big guy who wants nothing to do with her except that he's secretly in love with her and has been for years - but it had its own story, its own vibes, its own details that made it unique and independent of her previous novel.
I will admit, it took me some time to get into it. Bee spent a LOT of time in her inner monologue going into detail about how and why we got to the present. But after that, I was EATING IT UP. The plot was definitely something I was invested in; you'll want to stand by for the twist that inevitably ends up occurring later in the book. I truly enjoyed the fact that this was spicier and steamier than her previous novel. Like, there were MULTIPLE scenes and each one was greater than the last. I think the chemistry between Bee and Levi was so palpable and I was waiting for bated breath for them to finally get together. I am absolutely in love with Levi; he's the epitome of book boyfriend. I loved all the science lingo and the fight against pointless standardized testing. I *may* have just loved it even more than The Love Hypothesis - yes, it was THAT good!

I know MZ writes sports romances, but as someone who played soccer for the vast majority of her life, I was so excited for Kulti and getting to see MZ's take on the soccer world. Reiner Kulti is arguably THE best and most famous male soccer player of all time, and he agrees to coach Sal Casillas's women's professional team in Houston. He is her coach; she is the player. There's an element of forbidden romance in this way, but the way MZ writes it makes it really work. This is because for the bulk of the book, Kulti and Sal are friends. They start of as sort of enemies, or at the very least, two people who really don't like each other and don't think they need each other. But the friendship that blooms is so beautiful, and they become the only true thing each other has. It's clear that Kulti really has never had anyone he trusts and no one to support him for who he truly is and not just his talents and fame and money, but he finds that in Sal, and I think that's why he values what he has with her so much. So much so, that he does anything and everything to protect her, even at the expense of himself. The building of that friendship makes it so sweet when they finally do get together, because you can feel how much they love each other, on the deepest of levels. It's a slow burn, maybe even the slowest burn she has ever written but trust me when I say it is worth it. Sal is just THAT GIRL, the one you root for and relate to and laugh and cry and get angry right alongside her. I LOVE that she had not only Kulti, but others in her life to support her and encourage her to explore the possibilities and not just accept the hand she has been dealt. The details that went into this book were also so well done and spot on and added so much to this book. The epilogue (and bonus scene on her website) just made me swoon and wish for more of Sal and Kulti and everyone else in their extended world.
I wasn't sure how I would feel about this one going into it, but I was pleasantly surprised. I love that Emerson and his friends started a sex club that's inclusive and friendly to all, and it's a shameful thing. A place where people can feel safe and are able to explore their sexuality and kinks. I'm not too familiar with BDSM or its components, but this felt like a great introduction into the world and you can see just how normal this all is, even though others may not think so. The most important thing is consent, and the author and the characters make this clear several times throughout the course of the book.
I thought this would all just be sex, sex, sex and then some more sex. And while sex was a huge part of it, I was actually very invested in the plot and the main relationship between Emerson and Charlotte, which I think both were done so well. I loved that both Emerson and Charlotte grew leaps and bounds in this book, and there is so much depth to these characters. I loved their relationship and really wanted them to get their happy ending, despite the obstacles. Overall, I enjoyed this book and cannot wait for the next one in the series.

I liked this a lot more than I thought I would. I mean, stepsiblings hooking up and falling in love? Sounds strange, but when you get context during the book, it actually really works. And it's HOT. I especially loved Garrett's transformation and journey that he went through. Mia went through quite the adventure and grew so much too. Together, two people who thought they didn't need each other and really hated each other find out just how much joy and happiness and similarities they can find in each other. I took off a star because I do feel like one certain character should have been honest about their secret MUCH sooner before taking such a huge thing from another character, and said other character forgave much too easily and it was never really discussed again even though it was a HUGE deal in my opinion. Overall though, I loved Garrett and Mia's story and have been loving those series when I really didn't think I would. So good!
This is the first time I've ever read a poly/throuple/threesome romance of any kind. This absolutely blew my mind and just killed me in the best way. I was weary and didn't know if my delicate and pretty vanilla heart could handle this. But honestly, I loved it so much. I thought it was just going to be sex and three people just being greedy but it was so much more than that. A beautiful story of three people who love each other more than anything and who find happiness in their trio. The smut scenes were so flipping HOT. They were done so well, and actually contributed to the plot as well. The plot was centered around these three discovering their relationship and then trying to navigate and I really liked it. Also, I really liked one character's journey of self discovery and finding their sexuality, and the struggles and inner turmoil that came along with that. It was so perfect and I honestly want to read this one again!
