Second books can be hard. I really wish I read The Hazel Wood again prior to this to familiarize myself with the storyline. I think it would have helped. Much of this book relies on you knowing the events of the first story.
The first half of the book meanders through Alice's life in NY and her "human" existence. So much is happening to ex-hinterlanders, and much like Alicd, the reader is kept in the dark. To me that gives me a disconnect from the story. It didnt really draw me in.

Its not until about 2/3rds of the way into the book that I finally felt drawn in.

Not what I expected. But then again I often put books on hold at the library and by the time they come in I forget that i ordered it.

A mental health path presented in a humourous manner with out being self deprecating. And some cute comics added in.

This book isn't going to guide you through your own path to improving your battles with depression and anxiety, but it will shoe you that you are not alone in those feelings. Ans that too is important. Many times I saw myself reflected in here.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley.

This was a good suspense story, that kept you guessing who the killer(s) was. I thought I had it figured out, but I didn't quite.

I love how the characters lives weave their way through each others life. And drawing many parallels. The main detective team balances each other out.

The one oddity I found in this book is when Jeppe has a reawakening of his sex drive. It really didn't make sense for a murder mystery.

Some great tips in here on actions that you can take to make immediate changes in your daily life, and things to work on incorporating.

I liked this. Nice short stories. I loved Loki's unrelenting trickery but could help but wonder wouldn't his life been easier if he wasn't always trying to trick people into doing things and always having to try and save his own neck

Neil Gaiman is a great narrator.

Unfortunately I feel I was heavily influenced by Chris Hemsworth's and Tom Hiddleston's portrayals of Thor and Loki as I was listening to this and wonder what it would have been like without that clouding my imagery.

An interesting story, But falls short of claims of being Harry Potter for adults.

Just because I'm an adult does not mean I don't want magic and fantasy. Many passages were just long and boring. Such as when they are transformed to geese to fly the world.

I do like when Alice calls out Quentin on his inability to deal with himself and constant search for something better. Spot on.

A good picture book that highlights what Non-Binary means. Also covers trans and cis identities. This book normalizes that people look and feel different. Illustrations are bright and colorful, but not infantile.
