Meh.
I wonder if this would have been better if ik read it vs audio.

There was no tension in this book. More just a recap of events without reactions.
Very matter of fact.

I love love love this series. So much action in this one. And twisty little bits.

Starts with a surfboaeding cat. How can you not smile at that.
Then a near drowning where they are saved by Sea Sirens.
Parts made me laugh out loud

I liked that we got to see the reasoning behind Taryns actions.

Interesting. The first half I wasn't quite into it and then it picked up.
Several red herrings. And one that I was convinced was real.

I really liked this one. Humorous. And at times both relateable and not.

I'm not sure how to rate this. It's a very sad depressing story wrapped in a cute package. A teen girl whose mother died, leaving her to run the family business with a depressed father at home and a young brother to raise. Couple that with a mean man who is trying to destroy her business so that he can take over the property.

The makers of the new cats must've modeled their idea of cat-humans from this book.

I seriously got hooked on this series. I listened to the first on audio and was like hey sure, I'll do book two. I've got an audible credit. Why not. Somewhere in there Holly Black dug in and wouldn't let go.

Jude is such a strong and real character. And the writing is captivating.
