I loved the Chemistry between Win and Leo, they were endgame for me the moment they met.
My biggest issue with this book was the 'flashbacks' it seemed like the timeline jumped back and forth with no real warning.

I enjoyed Ava’s perspective, felt her struggle and wanted to see her grow through all the toxicity she had to deal with. I did not like Kayla’s perspective it felt lack luster. I wasn’t a fan of all the random leads that Kayla followed up on that lead to nothing, it irritated me.
The build up was interesting because there were clues left to lead you to what happened. How wasn’t really a surprise, you know from the beginning she didn’t actually jump. It was the who that got me because we know who he is early on but never got his connection.

I struggled through this book, it had a weird pace to it and I ended up skimming about half of it. I definitely wanted to like this book more than I actually did. This entire book was messy, and some parts were fun but Ellie anxiously panicking about everything killed some of the drama for me.
Ellie is a Mess, she's anxious and annoying as hell, completely paralyzed by fear of failure and I just did not like her at all. The Kim-Prescott Family was lovely and I wish we got more with the grandmas because they were my favorite part of this entire book.

Very well written. Kept me on the edge of my seat even when the Jack made several terrible decisions.
I felt for her but I struggled to understand some of her actions and decisions. Starting with trusting the cops and not having a lawyer with her during questioning, to contacting her ex for help like what is this thought process.

What an interesting look into a part of Appalachia.
I had no expectations when I picked up this book and the ride that this book took me on was pretty unbelievable. I expected a look into a town that was radio silent only to find out its not near as quiet as its made out to be.
