- I didn't know I needed a cozy mystery set on Jupiter, but now that I've read THE MIMICKING OF KNOWN SUCCESSES, it's kind of all I want in my life.
- This book is a good little whodunit, and the world it's set in is quite well-thought out and real feeling for a novella.
- I loved the tentative, slow beginning of a second chance romance between Mossa and Pleiti (did I mention this is also a sapphic story?), with each of them pleased to discover how the other has both changed and stayed the same.
- A second installment in this series has already been announced, and I can't wait to get my hands on it.

- THE WRITING RETREAT is one of the most unhinged books I've ever read, and I was completely along for the ride.
- I don't want to give away too much, but if you love a thriller where both you and the main character can't decide who's in on it, what's real, and how it's going to end, this is your book.

- If you read REBECCA and wished it was about a literal haunting instead of a psychological one, THE HACIENDA is the book for you.
- The audio version of this book is a tense, visceral experience, with narrators Lee Osorio and Victoria Villarreal infusing the words with urgency and painting vivid images of the terrifying scenes at San Isidro.

- What a gift SOMETHING WILD AND WONDERFUL is. It pulls of the balancing act of dealing with very real homophobia and giving the characters real queer joy.
- Kelly excels at writing characters who care so deeply for each other, for all their quirks and complicated personal histories. I particularly loved being there with Alexei while he tried to figure out his new relationship to faith and church.
- This is also the rare romance novel that didn't have me rolling my eyes and speeding through the third act breakup. The way Alexei and Ben worked through it was so beautiful and precious.
- And! We also get to see Dahlia and London from LOVE AND OTHER DISASTERS!

- YOUR DRIVER IS WAITING is a gender-flipped retelling of TAXI DRIVER, updated to the current day. Making Damani a driver for a rideshare company and making Jolene a white ally is brilliant.
- At times the points Guns is making are a bit on the nose, but the oppressive, hopeful yet hopeless atmosphere of the story is perfect.
- This book is pretty short and I wish there could have been more depth to some of the characters and story elements. I would love to see what Guns can do with a longer, more immersive story. That said, I could not put this book down, and read it within about 48 hours.
