Everything for You

DID NOT FINISH: 14%

sooo sexual just instantly, with both characters hating each other (one for a very dumb reason!) and yet both imaging fucking each other. it’s the third chapter! please.

I simply cannot handle how many times the phrase “demon dick” was used in this. I wanted to like the main character, and I appreciate that she finally decided that being the richest daughter in her town wasn’t worth her family’s BS, but I didn’t enjoy the miscommunication, the lying, the girl boss millennial dialogue, the pacing, or how quickly the main characters fell in love.

This is not science fiction and nothing you say can convince me otherwise. HOWEVER, I did really like it as a contemporary fiction novel about the main character, a disabled Nigerian American writer who struggles with family dynamics and also dealing with her own fame after writing a science fiction novel. There are snippets from the science fiction novel interspersed and that is also enjoyable.

Ending was very abrupt and left me with a little of a, what was that feeling, though.
