Very thin world building but generally fairly internally consistent for what was given. The FMC lowkey annoyed me (why is she a klepto, why doesn’t she see escaping from an all powerful being hellbent on murdering her as a gift?) but it was fine. The MMC I actually liked quite a bit and appreciated his character development. why were these two together outside of attraction? no idea! but it also didn’t bother me that much. Just an easy to read romp of a spicy romantasy book.

Part one and part two of this book were two separate books and I hated both of them.

Miscommunication trope as an entire plot is frustrating for me and made me feel like I didn’t truly get to see the relationship develop outside of the bedroom, no matter how many pizzas they ate (by my count, 9). I liked both main characters but I didn’t really *get* them together and I wish I felt the chemistry of them falling in love vs refusing to just talk to each other + having sex.
