This book is going to live rent free in my head. The opening line? Chills. The ghost kids? Eerie. The changing flora of the island? creepy. The details to everything, the island, the ghosts, the characters, are so well fleshed out. Learning *what* the island is threw me though a loop and the ending was heartbreaking, heart pounding, and absolutely amazing.

This was such a cute debut! I really felt the chemistry between the two love interests and the story was interesting. Definitely going to keep this author on my radar!

This was a fun, cute, summertime read. I liked how different/difficult topics were handled. I loved the characters and the dynamics.

This was the perfect spooky middle grade! It was a super quick read, nothing too scary but just eerie enough to make you shudder. The storytelling was so good and I was quickly invested in Halle and her friends. It's a great, light, spooky tale for any age.

This was a quick, light read. I definitely enjoyed it. I wish there had been more details or more things had been fleshed out. I liked it but I don't think I would read it again.

I have a love hate relationship with this book. I like Sebastian, I like the writing, I loved the epilogue, and I loved a lot of the wittiness. However, I did not like Brynn and I don't think she earned any forgiveness, I also didn't like how any of our usual romcom tropes were used here. Brynn's character kept me from fully enjoying this as much as I wanted.

Not bad...also not for me. The beginning was super slow, some of the dialogue was cheesy, and even the action wasn't that compelling for me. It really didn't hold my attention until the very end. The last couple of chapters and epilogue piqued me interest and I had some emotions, but I don't believe I was the target audience for this book.
