I LOVED this book! The characters were well fleshed out, Rosemont actually felt like a real place, you can tell the author took a lot of care with the details and plotting. This book had a chokehold on me from the beginning and did not let go. It was such a good mix of horror and fairytale and will live rent free in my head.

I loved the Good Girls Guide to Murder trilogy and I was so excited for this novella! It was a *pretend* murder mystery and it was so much fun to listen to Pip and her friends solve their mystery, I have missed Connor and Cara! I was a little confused about where this fit in but it made sense in the end and if you read the whole series youre definitely going to be side eyeing some people.

Jess Dylan is my new favorite cozy author! I loved the vibe of Flower House, I loved Felix, Gus, Deena, and Granny Mae. This had the most quirky cast of characters but they flowed so well. Also, I was very happy with who was poisoned...they were so awful and I was glad to have them out of the way.

This was a really good start to a new series! The characters were so much fun and I can't wait for more of them in the future books! The mystery itself was also entertaining and interesting and kept me reading. Definitely a quick read too!
