To be transparent, I did DNF at about 55%-60%. This would have been 2 stars if the action hadn't picked up when it did. I'm disappointed, I enjoyed Chloe Gongs writing from the short story I read of hers, but this was so boring. Honestly, it could be that I haven't read These Violent Delights and so I'm not familiar with the characters and overall story. I liked the characters, most were just okay. I liked the world building. The book started off strong but I just couldn't force it. Maybe I'll read These Violent Delights and revisit later on.

My first book by Caroline Kepnes! I'm a huge YOU fan so it only felt right to give one of these books a go. I really loved this! Although, I didn't really care for Wonder, but Joe Goldberg does have a way of making other people seem silly when he talks about them. I've never read a book where I'm in their head and it was off-putting at first but I got used to it. Liked the overall story, it was enjoyable and I will be reading the first three books.

Firstly, I appreciate how the chapters all have titles, we don't have enough of that anymore. Secondly, Thea and Wren are absolutely creepy and gave me chills the minute they were introduced. This gave me strong Haunting of Bly Manor vibes which is perfectly okay with me because I actually loved Bly. This story was just so eerie and creepy and perfectly paced that it gave me the ick. It was wonderful and is definitely worth the read.

I really enjoyed this story! Max and Sadie were frustrating but I loved how they evolved throughout and I loved their ending. I loved the premise of this, potential stardom in Nashville on a tv show, love, hope, and even grief. So many tears were shed and I appreciate how some tough but important topics were navigated. Also, this story made Christmas sound so cozy so that's a plus!
4.5 stars, easy. I'm normally not the biggest fan of friends to lovers trope but from the beginning I could feel the chemistry and love between Luka and Stella. Nothing felt forced and B.K. Borison really created a cute story with them. I fell in love with all the characters, the little town, the farm. The details created such vivid imagery and I felt transported to this beautiful little Christmas tree farm. Definitely put me in the Christmas spirit.
To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I'd heard a lot of good things about this book but it didn't do it for me. I truly didn't understand what was so special about Chani or Gabe, I certain didn't understand the sparks they were supposed to have. The dialogue was bland, the storytelling was bland. It was definitely one of the more unique concepts for a romcom, but this was so forgettable. The last 20%-25% was okay but that's because I like happy endings and not necessarily *this* happy ending. 1.5 stars.

This was dark, creepy, fun, weird. I've never read a book where people turn into their nightmares. The details about them turning into human size insects and eating people...it gave me the ick... and I loved it. I also loved Ness and the friendship dynamics in this book. The world building was exquisite. This is one of the most unique stories I've read in awhile and I can't recommend it enough.

I was so excited for this, I loved the idea of a spicy nutcracker retelling, howeve, this was very subpar. It felt very adult and then also very childish at times. I felt like there wasn't enough editing. I found most of the characters to be annoying. Honestly, this story was lackluster at best and it felt like a chore to read.

This is my ultimate favorite read of 2022! I loved the vivid imagery, the depth to the characters, I adored how Adalyn Grace wrote death as humanly as possible. There was an eerie atmospheric feeling the entire time...I can't wait for Foxglove!

I didn't realize at first this was a series...but it was easy to understand and catch up on details! I enjoyed the characters, setting, and the mystery. It was a cozy, quick, read and I'll definitely look into this author more! I haven't read a cozy mystery set on a houseboat/flippers until now!
