I adore Tessa Bailey and her romances! I was so excited that Bethany and Wes get their own story! I loved the banter, watching Wes' love for Lara and commitment to her, and I loved that Bethany did her own business venture. Tessa Bailey always puts such depth to her characters and I fall in love with every single one. Also this was STEAMMMYYYY!

Oh wow! First of all, solid 4 stars for me! The little rhyme in the beginning gave me the creeps and I knew it was a sign that this was going to be good. I honestly don't understand the bad reviews or the "average" reviews. It had a creepy atmosphere from the beginning, the monster or "him" always being referenced and you want to keep going to figure out what it is. I will say, the characters annoyed me a little bit but I was able to look over it. I loved the story, writing, and intrigue. Definitely picking up a physical copy.

It started out strong, charming, and I was enjoying the characters. However, it just started to get boring and I didn't want to read it. I've never read anything else by this author and I just don't think I vibed with their style of writing is all. That being said, I will read them again in the future.

This book was amazing! It was beautifully written, hauntingly beautiful. There was so much depth and thought to the world building, characters, and the mystery. Everytime I thought I had figured out what happened to the woman who washed up on the shore, there was a plot twist. I felt such a connection to Kate/Addie, their stories had me in tears. And the ending...didn't see it coming. This story was stunning, a perfectly ghost story and murder mystery.

I picked up Hannahs story first and fell in love with Piper there, so I had to come back and read this one! Piper is so full of life and happiness and I love seeing her true come self come out, especially around Brendan. I loved Brendan as well, his soft heart under his rough exterior is such a good pairing with Piper. I loved the details about Westport and it's people, getting to know long lost family, and overcoming grief.
