Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this book!
First off, I love Christmas stories, especially Christmas romance, and I love second chance love even more!
At first, I was a little iffy. I'm not a huge fan of repeating days/the groundhog day loop, they can get really boring but this one was well done. The characters were well written, it was witty and funny, the dynamics in the relationships was also done very well.
It's a good, festive romance for the Christmas season and it's a quick read once it grabs your attention!

This was a unique book! I've never read a romance involving a bodyguard. Hannah and Jack were silly and witty, I loved their banter. I loved reading all the little sweet moments they had and watching them slowly fall for each other. And the ending of this book made me cry, especially with Wilbur's happy ending and Jack telling Hannah about his last nightmare. Definitely a TW for abuse, but it was such an emotional story.
I love when I can find great standalone fantasies. I absolutely adored the world building, the depth to the magic systems and characters. I connected with Japha and Lydea immediately. I also love the LGBTQ+ and non binary representation in the story, it was done well, without feeling the author was just throwing it in. The plot twists were well thought out, the deaths made me cry, the ending was unique but beautiful and this is my new favorite read of 2022.

I enjoyed this retelling of Emma, I thought it was fun and sweet and well thought out. Normally, retellings can feel bland to me but this was definitely unique.

I feel like this handled death and grieving well. Brooks and Monica were such a big part of the story and I loved reading the memories of them. I enjoyed how Colby and Rip came together for the kids and watching them heal. The last few chapters had me in tears and it was one of the most emotional but beautiful endings I've read.
