First of all, I'm a huge fan of these creepy covers, where plants and flowers are just growing out of people. It definitely prepares you for the eerie and utterly creepy story you're about to get into.
This town, Bishop, is just freaking weird. So this group of girls all have missing mothers and the whole town is just...okay...with it? I mean the people are weird, they all give off sus vibes. It feels like the kind of creepy town you never get to leave.
You're left wondering as the story goes on, what exactly happened to the moms? Theories were going wild in my head. It makes you wonder who is hiding what secrets. Also...the wind talks to some people, so there's that.
Ultimately, I was happy with the ending. This story had the eerie atmosphere and mysterious plotline that I adore. I think the author did an amazing job painting every scene with just enough details.

While this was definitely a cute romance between between two childhood rivals, Indira and Jude, it felt like the book just dragged a little bit, a lot of the material felt a little unecessary. Jude was slightly annoying by himself, I'm sorry! I liked that it touched on mental health, I liked that it gave real world scenarios, it was a relatable and well written book albeit a little slow.

At first, I thought it was a little boring but to be fair, that's how I am with any retelling of Greek mythology. I did enjoy the reclaiming narrative, learning about the forgotten women around Perseus. It really makes you rethink what you know about the "heroes" from stories.

I loved the concept of this book! Two supposed exes making a podcast together but they don't actually like each other and slowly fall in love? Yes, please! I loved every character (except Kent. If you know you know). Ruthie was precious and Steve Rogers the dog? Absolutely adorable. I loved listening to Dominic and Shay's friendship/relationship grow and that twist towards the end??? Wow. Just wow. I enjoyed this book so much!
I absolutely adored Georgie's sweet personality and I loved the growth in the relationship between not only her and Travis, but also with her family. And the ending? Awww man, the best. It's a cute, quick read but also quite steamy!

I loved the concept of a creepy forest full of monsters and a society that hunts them, those are my favorite kind of eerie stories. At first, it started good but overall the story was very flat. I wanted more details about the world/forest/monsters. It could have done with more details but it wasn't horrible.

The only issue I had with this book was the pacing, it was very slow for most of the book. HOWEVER, this was such a good story. I want to put a quick CW for suicide/trypophobia. This had the creepy, atmospheric vibes that sent shivers up my spine, I've only felt that kind of eeriness with House Of Hollow and it set the tone of the book. A creepy florist, a brother who ends up dead, now Holly is having nightmares and feels like things are growing inside her...
The plot twist was not what I expected but the details get creepier the more you learn about Dane's death. Honestly, I couldn't put this book down and I can't wait to pick up a physical copy next year!

This book was okay. It wasn't scary, spooky, not even creepy. Honestly, it was kind of boring. The title, cover, synopsis is what drew me in and it was all just underwhelming and forgettable.

This book is everything I hoped for. Creepy, chilling, mind bending, a plot that keeps you guessing what's going to happen next. I liked how it switched back and forth between Siena and Holden, as well as a few other characters. It was nice seeing how they were all reacting to the changing forest around them. But WHY did we have to get a cliffhanger?! I know it's going to be part of a series BUT I have SO MANY questions that need answered!!! Also, the whole thing with Isaac and finding the body in the trees disturbed me to my core.
I really enjoyed this, perfect spooky season read and I CAN'T WAIT to snag a physical copy and I can't wait for book 2!!
