This was a spur of the moment purchase based solely on the cover and because Erica Waters has a story in here and I'm SO HAPPY I ordered! These stories were eerie, grotesque, atmospheric, perfect for spooky season! I had to put the book down a few times because some of the stories really got to me. I liked some more than others, but that's a risk you take when ordering a book of short stories, but they were all great!

Hannah Whitten's writing is magical and beautiful. The world building was immersive and painted so vividly, I really felt like I was in a fairytale forest. The romance was so sweet, I felt myself blushing so hard at several times throughout. The ending was wild and I'm so ready to drive into For The Throne to see what happens!

While I loved the first book in this series, this one was so boring right off the bat. I ended up DNFing and that makes me so sad, I really wanted to know what happened with Avery and the fortune. I just couldn't get into this one.

First book I have read by Shea Ernshaw...I am OBSESSED with this book. Sisters accused of witchcraft and are killed by drowning, only to come back for revenge every summer?? SIGN ME UP. The main character was a *little annoying* but all of the characters felt well rounded and the little seaside town sounded so eerie but beautiful and magical. Also the twist at the end?! I couldn't believe it.
