This was so much fun! I loved the characters and the new land. I also appreciated how quickly the story wrapped up. These adventures were a joy to read.
I was a huge fan of Mary Downing Hahn when I was younger and All The Lovely Bad Ones was one of my favorites. It's so cool to see her novels be turned into graphic novels! This was still as errie and spine chilling as I remember, and having visuals of the ghosts made it so much creepier!
This was much better than I had hoped it would be. I enjoyed the dual POV, insight on the characters and their dynamics with one another felt well fleshed out, and the paranormal aspect of this pulled on my heart strings. The grief in this felt real and it was interesting watching our characters go through it together. A solid 4 stars.
This was such an incredible story. Adventurous, wonder, compelling, and delightful are the perfect ways to describe this story. The plot is executed well and the characters are well fleshed out. It pulls at you and keeps your interest the whole time.
A nice, solid mystery that was well thought out with interesting clues. The atmosphere was quaint and cozy and I enjoyed my time reading this. I adore Ellery Adams writing. That being said, there are other cozies by her that I prefer.
I loved that this was thriller, mystery, and horror especially the folk horror aspect. There's something about a group of people being stalked and killed in a frozen tundra by something that could possibly be ancient, that really had me in a chokehold. I loved that it was a shorter story, but the characters were fleshed out nicely and had compelling backstories that didn't take away from the plot itself. A 4.5 rating from me.
Not my usual genre but I really enjoyed this. The historical aspect was actually fairly interesting, the characters were lively, the plot was nicely woven. My favorite bit was the writing itself. It was so smooth and beautiful and made the story pop.
Aaaahhh this was a fun ride! I wanted eerie, darker, even haunting atmosphere and this delivered immediately. When I first started this, I was so invested with the Saoirise-Aiden-Jonathon bit and that's what sucked me in. Then, meeting Lucretia, Mia, and Roberto made me so happy. Emmit was a walking red flag and I have no idea why Saoirise even gave him the time of day and by the way this ended...well, just read it for yourself. It took a turn (with Emmit and the Aiden/Jonathan bit) that I did NOT expect.
This is without a doubt the best book in the series by far!! Israh has quickly become one of my favorite (and severely underrated) authors and her voice in her writing is so strong. The world building is well fleshed out and you feel like you've been transported into the story, you feel the characters so strongly throughout (I will always love Natassa and Coralie), and the plot is so intricate. The fight is so fantastical and epic and AAAHHH!!! The ending was absolutely wild in the best way possible. READ THIS!!!

A deadly competition and our main character has a magical gift they must hide?? Oh man, I eat that shit up everytime!! This was just as amazing as everyone says it is. It's much darker and deadlier than I initially thought it was going to be but I actually loved that. I thought Ikenna's anger and passion and energy were relatable but I also liked how she was hot-headed and quick to make decisions and then she had to learn how to deal with the ramifications of those snap judgements. There were themes/discussions of racism and misogyny throughout that were well placed and important. And that ending!!!! Definitely drawn out more than it needed to be but the ending was !!!!!
