This one has probably one of my favorite covers of the year. It had a lot of fun things going on, just wish there had been a little more on the romance side of things.

I was pretty excited about Grey getting a POV in this because he was my favorite in the last book! Now, I was sad at first that we wouldn't be getting much from Rhen or Harper, but I will say, I really liked the new addition of Lia Mara! She was strong in so many ways!

Oh man, so some crap goes down in this book that I wasn't too pleased about concerning Rhen. Some of his actions were, WOW! But I won't give any spoilers. Also, Harper made me irritated as well. I still don't understand why Jake wasn't that concerned about his sister either. But that's okay because Grey's and Lia's POVs had me all in, and I was fully emerged in this story! I just really loved their dynamic together. To me it felt more real than Rhen's and Harper's did in the last book. Also, I loved Iisak and Tycho so much!

There are some interesting twists and wonderful dialogue. And that freaking ending! I seriously just need the next book already, because I'm very curious to see how everything is going to play out!

I loved the dark and twisty elements but I just couldn’t connect to the story or the characters. It had diversity and interesting things but I just wanted something more from the characters I guess. But if you’re looking for unique concepts then you might want to check this one out!

Way better than the last book except I got pretty confused towards the end.

Heart of Iron was one of my favorite books of last year and I was so incredibly excited for this one! Plus, come on, Anastasia retelling in space is totally awesome!

First, the awesome! Jax and Robb! Man, oh man, I love these two gents so much! They are the perfect power couple, seriously! Also, the world building in these books is freaking great! Especially when it's hard for me to get into sci-fi most of the time!

I think my main issue was Anna. I love her, but I feel like this story wasn't really hers at all. I mean, I know there are four POVs, but I just felt like her story line and relationship with a certain other character wasn't as strong as Jax and Robb.

However, it was a good conclusion to the series with addictive writing and lots of action and emotion. I just wanted more from Anna's story line!

Awesome writing and world building but I just couldn’t connect with the story and 8 characters was a lot. But the horror type stuff is awesome.

This one was a bit of a slow read and sometimes that works but it made it hard for me to connect to the plot. I think my main frustration was how the MC was to the love interest. Like not sure if there just should have been no romance? Anyway, the cover is seriously beautiful and so is that title!

This book had one of my favorite summaries I've seen so far this year, and that cover! Plus, I mean, shadows, right? Shadowsssssssssss!

I'll first say that I absolutely loved the story line! I always enjoy books with the goal to murder but then feelings change along the way. Plus, the Shadow King was just so freaking sweet! I wanted to hug him!!

Now, my problem was Alessandra! I adored that she did however she chose, be it with her sexual desires, murder, or whatever. I even love villains! And she was very much a villain. But dang, I just could not connect with this lady! Then we have to toss in some other guy, but we know she has to be with the Shadow King, right. Right?! She was just so hot headed and made poor choices at times. However, her character did grow, but even toward the end I was annoyed with this woman still making lame decisions!

Now, besides my frustrations with the MC, I very much loved the writing, the world building, the originality, and the swoon! Now, I just want to be enveloped in a ton of shadows!

I've loved all of Petroff's books, so I was excited to see what this story would bring to the table. Not to mention this one has a really super cute cover like her other books!

What I like best about Petroff's stories, especially this one, is that it always feels like real and genuine teens. My teen self would have connected so much with Cam. When I had my heart broken, it felt like the end of the world, like things would never run right again. But what I had, as does Cam, was an awesome group of friends. And sometimes with your friends, you fight and get annoyed by things, but the love there always wins out because you're there for one another. So I loved the friendship aspects in this story!

Cam had wonderful growth, too. She just had to find out who she was, even though it had always been there. I would classify this somewhere between Easy A and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Netflix go ahead and make this a movie already! Cute, witty, and a real page turner!

I love this cover! ARC received via publisher!
