I’ve read several books by this author and what I love most is that each one is different yet all amazing! The writing in Marrow Charm is especially wonderful and lush with gorgeous world building and a unique plot. We get multiple POVs here, each told in third person and they are all my little babies!

The characters all had distinct personalities and I especially loved Azzy and Kai! Also, I need book 2 already!

I love Marie Lu but I just couldn’t get into this one again.

I know the original story but had never actually read it. So I grabbed the ARC for the upcoming, new, illustrated version.

Let me just say I’ve only read one Andersen book which was that horrific Christmas tree story! Thank all those dead trees that this story was much better. I loved this one!

First, I really loved the mermaid and her naiveness because she really didn’t know much better yet she had a heart of gold. The prince was a douche bag so I was glad about the ending and that there was still hope for our girl!

This is the second book I’ve tried by the author and I couldn’t connect to this one either. The writing is very good but I just didn’t love the MC as much as I wanted to.

I've been wanting to read this one for a while and am so mad at myself for not doing so sooner. I absolutely loved it! I loved the year it was set, the fact that there were sea creatures, mystery, romance, and so much more!

Bridey was great because she wasn't a skilled fighter but just a normal girl who found strength from her own courage. She was fierce and protective over her family and I adored that. Morag was another of my favorite characters, such a feisty old woman! Oh, and let me not forget about Fynn. He was sweet and adorable and I wanted to bundle him up in my purse!

The writing was mesmerizing and the story unique with wonderful creatures that I didn't even know about. So I googled them and was pleasantly surprised at how cool a glashtyn looked! Overall, definitely one of my favorite reads this year!

I had been wanting to read this one for a while, and I'm glad I finally did! What I loved most about this fantasy was that it was more than that! It was packed with loss, addiction, and overcoming it all without never forgetting.

I loved Odessa and how she wasn't perfect and felt easy to relate to. Loss is something that can affect someone dearly. You can be okay one moment, but then when you lose someone you love dearly, a part of you can come out that you never dreamed could.

The cast of characters were awesome. Each one had a distinct personality and I honestly loved them all. What I would have really loved even more is if this had been multiple POV, just so I could get into the side characters' heads even more because I cared for them so much! It was beautifully written and I can't wait to read the second one!

Loved this one! It was cute with characters that felt real, and the writing sucked me in right away! I need more contemporary books by this author!

My favorite sort of contemporaries are ones that are cute with humor! This was a fun story with a super adorable dose of romance. Of course there were factors that came along that broke the leads apart, and I did get stressed out during those aspects. But I can understand why, especially with them being teens.

Brett was swoony and gentlemanly, while Becca was an awesome girl who loved to read. Just my kind of characters! Also, there was a bakery and talk about desserts, and that alone would have sucked me in!

The dialogue was punchy and the writing made it a real page turner. It's definitely a great summer read!

I’m not the biggest nonfiction fan in the world but this has everything I love! Awesome info about horror and speculative fiction women writers, cool and creepy drawings, and all around interesting! Plus it had me by having the word monster in the title!

This was the perfect middle man for this trilogy! Duell knows how to write awesome and imaginative imagery that will leave a lasting expression!

We are back in Nora’s and the Sandman’s heads and they are both interesting places to be! I just want to keep the Sandman forever and ever! I also loved the side characters as well as the twists and turns along the way! And poor Nora is in quite the predicament! Loved it!
