After reading the blurb and seeing this cover, I knew I had to see what this story was about. Right off the bat, I was hoping for something similar to the Mummy but what I got was so much more.
Nicole! I loved her! She did what she wanted and had no regrets! Why should a guy character only be this way? It was super refreshing to see a female character in this sort of light. You learn about her background, and her flaws, and along the way, you really start to feel for her.
My favorite sort of fantasy is one that also has a contemporary feel to it, so this was right up my alley! And I loved the side characters—there were quite a few swoony ones!
The writing and world building were on point. And now I want some magick! Can I have some magick?

This series is absolute perfection! 😍😍 Oh, and lots of swoon!
This series is pretty dang addicting! And let me tell you from the beginning, my queen—Nana D—is back again. I said this last time, but she needs her own book! Seriously! And she's mayor!
Kellan's world spirals once again, and I loved being inside his head. What I really want for him one day is a nice vacation, because this boy deserves it! Throughout this series, he's had amazing character growth and you feel for him because he always has decisions he needs to make!
The writing was on point, the descriptions were wonderful, and the thing is, the characters feel real here with dialogue that is spoken how people in real life would! The book is fast paced with plenty of mystery, and I already need the next one! Oh, and this is definitely my favorite cover in the series so far!

Lovely writing but I just couldn’t connect with the story. It could also be that I’m hard to please with any sci-fi book! However, there is good diversity and I think a lot of people will like it.
The one thing I can always trust in this series is that I'm going to love the two leads, and love them I did! Finn and his wolf were awesome and Elle has got to be my favorite girl so far!
I felt this book was really, really packed with even more emotion, swoon, character growth, and action compared to the other ones! I really felt for Elle and her inner struggles. I also seriously loved seeing the old gang pop up on the pages, and there are some incredibly interesting things that go down in this one!
I always love the author's writing, and I feel like she could write instructions on how to bake a cake and it would read amazing! Yes, this book does have romance but it has so much more with wonderful world building and magic! Can't wait for Lucas's story next!

I haven’t read poetry in a while but I was glad I came across this! It was the right length to be considered fulfilling yet I was able to read through the collection quickly! The poems were packed with beautiful writing, emotion, sexiness, sadness, and so much more! I highly recommend this one!
I love the cover and title so much but I just could not get into this story. I actually did like the multiple POVs and the writing but the fantasy aspect I couldn’t connect with either. However, I may try and reread it again in the future.
I love Amy's writing. It feels not over the top lyrical, but just perfect enough where it isn't crap that doesn't make sense. I was pretty pumped up when I saw that this book was going to be from Kjell's perspective. He was pretty ridiculous in the last book, but his character still called to me. I adored him in this book! Sasha was a great character that made him a better person. I still connected with Lark from the Sword and the Stone more than Sasha, but the reason is probably because the last book was from Lark's perspective. The magic was even better than this, and the freaking trees! Yes! Full review on my blog https://literarydust.wordpress.com/2017/11/14/review-the-queen-and-the-cure/
The cover to this has to be one of my top 5 so far this year! It’s seriously gorgeous! So I did like this one but I wasn’t in love with it as much as I wanted to be. I think I wanted more from the characters? I’m not really even a hundred percent on that! What I seriously loved was the Project Runway and Mulan vibes! Give me a needle and thread right now!
This was a super fun story with horror, fantasy, and contemporary elements intertwined! I just love Demmer’s short stories because they are quick reads but the satisfaction after reading them is the same I feel after reading a full length book!
