When I read the blurb for this, I just knew it would be awesome. The concept is super intriguing, and I'll just say the book does not disappoint. And that cover is so lovely, makes me want to float in it myself!

In Fractalistic, we follow Winter, whose Mom has passed away. Winter's dad has been slipping since her mom died, turning to alcohol and becoming unattached, while using fractals to try to locate her mom. This concept is so cool!

Winter starts a new school and meets some interesting people—enter Julia and Rafi. Rafi was one of my favorites because he was both geeky and sporty, an awesome all in one package.

What I liked in this book was some of the strange things that happen to Winter. There is a really cool scene that occurs with her during her art class! And let me not forget about the nice twists in the book! Fractalistic is a very character driven with great writing, emotions, and originality!

I absolutely loved Sky in the Deep, but I couldn’t connect with this one or the characters. 😩 The prose is very beautiful and rich here but I wanted more viking stuff and stronger romantic elements between the leads. However, I think it could just be me here.

I really liked the author's Poison's Kiss duology, so when I saw this one was from her as well, I hopped right on to read it! The idea of the story line being dual POV from the same MC but with a different version of herself was a neat concept!

Have you ever wondered what your life would have been like if you'd taken a different path? I've often wondered that, and this story gave a cool glimpse into two separate paths with a fantasy spin on it! I'd have to say Saskia's bone charmer chapters were my favorite, though! And can I just say—Bram!

The writing created quite the page turner, and there were twists and tons of interesting descriptions! Now, based on the ending I'm assuming there will be another book?

I really liked the author’s Razorland series but I just couldn’t get into this one. Maybe because I don’t read a lot of mystery stuff? But her writing was just as good as her other books!

I absolutely loved this book! It was a super quick read with gothic style pictures and a poetic rhythm of writing!

This book may offend some people with how the world seems to be going these days, but I found the sarcasm and humor hilarious. It reminded me of the Addams Family and their dark, beautiful humor!

A side note: I accidentally stumbled upon this book in a small bookstore while vacationing. I had no idea this little masterpiece even existed! Yes, I will be reading more from this author. Give me all his books, please!

I seriously loved the first book! Loved Zera’s personality and loved her growing bond with Lucien. So I was ready to see how after the cliffy where Zera’s character would go from there!

I hate to say it but this second story very much felt like a middle book. I liked that Zera was trying to find herself and didn’t always trust easily, but this was a long book and the back and forth with her an Lucien was driving me up the wall bananas. The scenes that were between them were lacking something. And honestly, Lucien just kind of felt like a filler this time and I was so disappointed by that. I just didn’t connect with Varia’s character either but I really liked the addition of Yorl! I found him incredibly interesting!

There were some great action scenes with wonderful world building and Zera’s personal struggles. The writing and dialogue were also just as great as in book one. Even though there were some bumps in the road, I’m ready to see where book three will take me because I have a feeling that one will be great!

Natalia always spins such beautiful and incredible words to make a truly romantic story. I've been waiting forever for Anger's story, and he did not disappoint me!

I loved seeing Anger's struggles over his past love—named Love—and himself. I was also glad that he was still head over heels for Love instead of the feelings just vanish. So to see the transition of him getting over that and connecting with Merry was perfect. Oh, and Merry, such a freaking doll! I love her and her style and everything about her! So cute! And this book isn't just about romance, there is so much going on with freewill and more!

I'm very anxious to see Wonder's story next because as you read this book you will definitely begin to wonder how her relationship is going to play out! And yes, we get to see all the characters from the last book as well as a crazy, mad, exiled named Malice! Malice was a real cup of something! Overall, this story was absolutely perfect and well worth the wait!

I actually just couldn’t connect to the characters or the story in this one but it had beautiful writing!

Book one is still my fave, but I really liked this one! It took me a while to get into this book since Kate and August were separated for so long. Kate's snark was the best, and that ending was so good!!!! Full review on my blog https://literarydust.wordpress.com/2017/06/26/review-our-dark-duet/

This was a pretty cool short story! I’ve read a lot by Demmer so I know what to expect even though there are always fun surprises! If you love something different with some fun and unique horror then check this one out!
