Right off the bat, this was my perfect bloody fairy tale! I wasn't sure what to expect from this, and honestly, I've seen the cover for years and didn't know what the heck was going on there! But man, oh man, I should have read this sooner!
This was pretty cool because it felt dystopianish but with magic and horror and a smidge of romance. I loved Alice so much—she was easy to connect with, and she was such a good MC. She helped, she killed, she protected, and she had a good heart. Hatch, my little murderious fiend, oh how my heart beats just for you. He was fierce and he was good, even though he wielded that axe like there was no tomorrow!
Overall, this is the type of horror book that I need more of. The writing and world were so well thought out, and I'm very much intrigued to see what will happen in book 2!

Pan’s Labyrinth is one of my all time favorite movies, so if you love it you’ll definitely like this book! The descriptions were gorgeous and perfect. My only complaint is I hate seeing movies first and reading a book second!! Also, I seriously love Guillermo del Toro!!! ❤️❤️
After the last book I was so scared to read this one, seriously! Juliette and Warner had gone through such a mess in the first three books, and then the last book was like, nooooooooooo! And then this, tear my freaking heart apart with the back flash scenes, already. I was balling like a baby!
I loved Juliette in this, loved Warner in this, really loved Kenji in this! Those are my three little children! Nazeera was awesome too, and her character ARC really opened up and shined here!
There are a lot of twists here, a lot of shocking moments, a lot of me with heart eyes and teary eyes and all kinds of emotional eyes! And that freaking ending was perfect, which only makes me scared for this last book! But I need it now!!!!!

After the ending of Legendary, I was praying to the skies that there would be a third book because the way the second one ended was not enough! And the games, oh how I do love the games!
This one is told from POVs from both Scarlett and Tella. Scarlett has always been my favorite but Tella was good too—even though she could be frustrating at times! There was too much back and forth going on with her, Legend, and Jacks! However, I think my heart called most to the devious little Jacks. It was a pure treat getting to see Scarlett and Julian again because I love them so much!!
There was fun, games, betrayal, reveals, swoon, magic, and a perfectly descriptive world! I don't want to give too much away, but this was the perfect ending to a series that I'll want to reread time and time again!

Peter Pan has always been quite the iffy story for me. He always struck me as a creepy kind of character. A super old boy stuck in a young boy's body, dragging young children to an island. Super odd. So therefore, I was always intrigued by Captain Hook! And this was truly his story!
Jamie was relatable, completely relatable, even though he had done heinous things over the years. Yet, it was all because of Peter's urge to "play." I loved Jamie because he was like a daddy hen to a lot of the boys, especially Charlie. And there were twists and turns along the way. Since this is prequel, I'm sure you guys know how it all ends, but it is the character driven story that gets you there that is truly unique and horrific! And it definitely can be gruesome!
I've read a couple other books by Henry, and like the others, this one did not disappoint whatsoever! The world was terrifying with devious deceptions hidden in small places, and it was one that I couldn't get out of my head, even after reading!

So I just couldn’t get into this one like I have with Henry’s other books. I did like the character Red, but something about this story just didn’t grab at me. Maybe I’ll try again later.
This one just didn’t seem to be my type of read. I’m a mom so that part was relatable but nothing else was, I guess?
I absolutely loved the Kiss of Deception novels and the first book in this duology spinoff was great too! So my question was, how would this second book end? And applause, applause! Because it was very well done!
Reading the dual POVs from Jase and Kazi were both awesome! I loved and cared for them rather equally, which is usually a hard concept for me! I generally prefer one character over the other!
In this story, intense stuff goes down and it had my pulse racing! Without giving too much away, there was some fabulous twists and the writing was incredibly lush! This world is one I adore to get lost in and one I won't soon forget!

This series has been an incredible ride. My babies, Sage and Alex, have been through so much. I just needed them to have a lovely ending! The question is, do they or don't they? I'll never tell!
However, I will say, I wanted to shake people in this story and hug them and laugh with them. There was a whole lot of plotting and treatying and reveals!
The writing was just as good as the other books! The world is one filled with political intrigue and about women standing up for themselves and most of all—love! Love for friends, love for your other half, and love for your country. A great conclusion to this series!

So right away, I really liked the first half of this book. The sister bond was well done and I really connected with Nor.
For me, I kept waiting for the romance to build between Nor and Talin, or take away the romance. I loved their connection at the beginning of the book but then their whole relationship was underdeveloped, which would have been fine, but I kept getting insta love vibes from Nor! Ceren was actually well developed and he was quite the baddy, but I liked him?
The writing was beautiful and the world the author created was really cool. Side note: I with there would have been more Sami! He was probably my favorite character and there should definitely be a whole book on him!
