This final installment was so much fun! Magic, sorcery, romance, friendship, and tons of humor and emotion!

Kami has been the perfect sort of main character—she's funny, wrong about things, right about things, but truly grew as a character. Who I need to give a huge clap for is Jared because his growth was immaculate! And Rusty had to have been my favorite side character in this series—I loved him so much!

Without giving spoilers away, I highly recommend this series for an adventure full of fun and magic. Also, the dialogue by the author is seriously so good!

Maybe there is something wrong with me but I couldn’t get into this one as much as I would have liked! 😭😭 However, I absolutely love the author’s other books!

I like the road trip aspect but I just couldn’t connect with the characters. I tend to veer toward more upbeat contemporary so that could have been part of the problem.

So I thought this was going to be a cutesy sort of book, and I think maybe it would be better categorized as NA because it felt like it except for the character’s ages. I think my main problem was I didn’t understand why Mallory liked Troy for 5 years. Because he was hot??? I think there needed to be a little more depth there as to why, especially since he was a douche to her for a bit! Eventually, they do have some great chemistry together with fantastic swoony moments! Andddddd the last 30% was really addicting!

After that emotional and magnificent read, I'm a weeping willow of a mess! I'm just going to say I loved this book more than breathing air, and that it's probably one of my favorite reads ever. I loved it so much!

We get a book with a witchy type of a sisterly tale! But my favorite part was the contemporary aspects and the mystery and the perfection of the author's words!

Penny and Bo were so good together and there chemistry was cute and sweet! I especially loved the chapters with the backstories on the sisters, so heartbreaking! I want everyone to know that I'm not okay after reading this, even though I'm totally okay ... or am I? I already need back in these pages, and I need more books from this author!!!

Like Grim Lovelies, this was another unique and cool story. However, I was not excited about the additional romance stuff and sometimes there felt like there was a lot going on in this world. Also, I wanted to see more of Beau and Anouk together!

The author’s writing was so beautiful and the characters are felt real with distinct personalities!

I was pretty excited for this because I especially loved Sylvia's last book, The Beautiful Ones. And then she's done really great Mexican settings in the two other books I've read by her as well!

What I really liked here was the MC—Casiopea was the perfect character and I loved reading her wittiness in her dialogue and her remarks that she would give to Hun-Kamé. I seriously loved Hun-Kamé, too, especially as his character progressed in the book! The two together had such great chemistry!

There were several POVs in this one, but I really wish that it was only Casiopea and Hun-Kamé. I was kind of bored at times with Casiopea's cousin and Hun-Kamé's brother. Minor detail—but I felt like Casiopea's name had a lot of syllables so I had to keep shortening it to Cas in my head as I read it!

The writing and world descriptions were beautiful and the tale was very cool. Another complaint was I wish it ended on the chapter before the last one because I'm unsure if this is a stand alone, but I think it is? But with the last chapter, I'm not sure? Anyway, I love the authors other books more, but this is still a cool, original story to check out.

It felt like home to be back inside Kellan’s head once again! His character feels extremely real and you struggle with him, journey with him, and grow even more with him! And yes, my lady, Nana D is back!!! I'd honestly love a whole book about her! Even like a prequel to when she was younger!

One of my favorite scenes in the entire book is the costume party! I seriously want to go to one like that!! The side characters are all great with distinctive personalities that don’t feel cookie cutter!

This one has quite a good mystery that I had a lot of fun with! It has to be my favorite in the series so far and I can’t wait to see what Kellan’s up to next! Because dun, dun, dun ... cliffhanger!!!

When I first looked at the cover, I was like, oh, it's a Little Mermaid retelling. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this was actually about Barnum's Feejee mermaid when I read the summary!!

This was quite the lovely tale with beautiful prose and enveloped in cool world building. I'm always a big oddity fan so I found everything about Barnum's oddities fascinating, even though the man himself was quite the fool!

I struggled with Amelia at times. I loved her yet was annoyed with her because yes, she was strong, but when it came to the religion and feminist-type talk I got quite annoyed. I'm all for the strong and independent woman but sometimes it can be too much. This, of course, didn't affect the book from being five stars! Levi, on the other hand, was so sweet and caring and he still had some "manly" views, but he always wanted what was best for Amelia—for her to have a choice.

Overall, this was a great read, but don't expect it to be fast pacing. It was a slower journey, but one where I cared about all the words inside!

This series has been so much fun! I loved the author’s witty dialogue, the emotional journey, and the beautiful descriptions!

These characters are ones who will stick around with me for a long time! Also, I laughed throughout and yes had some tears!

An awesome thing is at the end when you thing the world is over, there is an additional couple of short stories, which I needed!
