I thought Geekerella was one of the cutest books after I read it, plus, I loved all the fandom stuff! The Princess and the Fangirl did not disappoint in that aspect! There was some pretty awesome fandom stuff mentioned!
I was also excited to see two girl perspectives! However, I feel like the romantic stuff, while cute, was extremely insta love. It's fine for insta attraction or whatever, but neither Jessica's or Imogen's relationship was developed enough, since the girls had other things they were doing in the book while the romantic interest was missing. So I don't know!
Besides the romance stuff, the rest was pretty awesome! There was a lot of witty dialogue, diversity, wonderful writing, and a neat setting! Ashley Poston is becoming an insta buy for me because I've liked every book I've read by her thus far!

I've read all of Wendy Higgins' books, and the one thing she always knows how to do well is write romance! And this book did not disappoint in the swoon!
So the Greek god stuff has always been intriguing, but sometimes can be overdone when its the same stories with the same gods that we've heard about before. What had me full on in was the fact that I'd never heard of the Cupid and Psyche story! Of course I knew who Cupid was because, come on, Valentine's Day, but I didn't know this one!!
The story had a super cool concept with a princess, Psyche, having to marry a monster that she can't see. This left for a pretty original plot where sometimes you have to look from within vs the outside, literally, to truly know a person.
I don't want to give too much away but there is a lot of neat stuff along the way, especially the cool world building and beautiful descriptions. And again, of course, swoooooon! Loved the writing, loved the story, and dear stars, I loved Cupid!!

I was interested in this book first because the cover gave me Edward Scissorhand vibes and then also because it had off the wall stories! And guess, what? It did not let me down!
Honestly, I wish I had known about this book sooner! In my childhood years when I used to read Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark and Goosebumps, this would have been right there with them! The quirkiness! I miss old books! Books like Madeline, Where the Wild Things Are, etc.!
What I love about older books is that the authors weren't scared to tell their stories. You could have fun with it, be dark, and it was still beautifully humorous! The illustrations were my absolute favorite in this with their eccentricness! I recommend this one to anyone who has no sensitivity issues or gets easily offended!

Clouded by Envy is officially out in the world! I can’t wait for you to meet Brenik and Bray!
I loved being back in this world. Yes, this is a spinoff series but I highly recommend reading the other trilogy! You know what the best thing in the world is? Gargoyles!
Okay, so I'm going to start out and say I did not like this one as much as the first trilogy! While I didn't love it, I definitely liked it, though! This book is pretty big, like 535 pages! I think if the first half had been cut about 100 - 150 pages it would have helped because things really get going in the second half!
Another issue is I liked Trinity, but I loved Layla more from the other trilogy, and again, it was hard for me to not compare the two. The cool thing about Trinity is she has a disability with her eyesight but she doesn't let it get the best of her! Those aspects were so amazing! Also, we do get cameos from characters from the other books and that was incredibly exciting!
Let me talk about Zayne for a minute because he's such an adorable gentleman. And yes, there was some swoony scenes and yes, I'd give those all my stars. *Throws stars at that right now*
There are some great action scenes as well and addicting writing! Armentrout always knows how to sprinkle in the perfect amount of humor. I love how it ended because it's open for the next book but not the deadly bomb of a cliffhanger. So I'm so very interested to see what happens next!

This was a fun book! I liked the idea of cons! Brynn was a good character, too. I liked her and learning about her backstory while watching her grow as a character!
Caleb, Caleb, Caleb! I loved his character and there were some seriously cute moments. Also, as for other side characters, Pete was a douchebag! Actually, a lot of people were douchebags!
There were twists and turns and lots of pretty and unpretty lies that made things very intriguing. The author weaved together a pretty addicting story!

I am so incredibly picky with contemporary! Normally I like quirky reads because I hate getting emotional about real things but I've loved the author's other books, so I was like, let me test the waters here! And I was not disappointed!
However this contemporary was cool because it had some historical stuff! We get two POVs—one present day and the other one going back to history. I loved both Priya and Biji! Priya really grows as a character as you read from her perspective from beginning until end. And Biji, I wanted to hug and bring her home with me!
This book is touching, emotional, with gorgeous writing and world building that takes you straight to India. I've always wanted to go there and now I want to even more. I highly recommend this one!

I've only read A Curse so Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer, but I think I'm starting to become a fan! I also saw her speak at a pannel last year and she seriously seems like such a funny and an incredibly down-to-earth person!
Two character POVs. First we get Maegan, who I will admit I was frustrated with at times, but I genuinely did get the way she thought. She was brought up by a cop with a sister who was good at everything, of course the pressure would be on. But now we get to my baby boy, Rob! Dear stars, I felt so bad for this boy. And I seriously loved him with all my crooked heart! He went through so much and I honestly got the choices and decisions he made. Nothing in books and real life is black and white. EVER! And I think the world needs to think about that sometimes.
This book made me really think about the gray lines and the characters actions. I would think one way, but then think from the other angle. There was just so much in this book, emotion, swoon, friendship, enemies, forgiveness, beautifulness! I'm actually going to have to go backward and read some more of Kemmerer's books because I can't get enough!

Oh, yes, it's Kenji's turn for a novella! And being inside his head was even better than expected! He's funny, he's emotional, he's giving while being perfectly flawed!
The novella pretty much goes along with book four, but seeing things from Kenji's perspective puts a whole new spin on things. And after reading this, I want a whole book just being inside his head!
Tahereh can write such amazing characters, and this only makes me want the fifth book even more. The world has become a mess, and I want to see what these characters do to help stitch it back together!
