First, I’m super impressed a sixteen-year-old wrote this! I could barely string a sentence together back in high school! Seriously though, this was such a fun adventure! You get action, emotion, and the need to know what happens next! Great characters and storytelling at its best! I’d definitely like to check out more in the future from the author!

I'm all about equality for everyone, but I felt like this book definitely put men to shame, and that's a real effing shame.

Also, Emory was a weird guy, like sometimes he felt cocky but okay, but then he would have these strange times where he'd do weird things like drag Ama around by a leash. Another thing was, I hated Ama too, so it was hard for me to feel sorry for her, or anyone really. I think I felt sorry for Tillie the most—she needed to get the hell out of that castle! Pawlin was also supposed to be a "man's man" but I liked him better than Ama too—who I'm supposed to feel sorry for.

I will say that I loved the ending. It was pretty cool and awesome, but that didn't save this book. I think if I didn't feel like it had this weird agenda against men, then it would have been better, like the ending could have totally been the same but with less man hate! Also, why is the guy's dingaling referred to as a yard almost the entire time??? Weird!

This is the third book I’ve read by Cudney and what I love is how each novel is so different yet each one is equally awesome! Academic Curveball kept me on my toes while I tried to figure out the mystery. I also loved Kellan and reading from his POV! He felt real and completely relatable, which is one of my favorite kind of characters. What you’ll get is plenty of mystery, fantastic writing, and witty dialogue. And that ending seriously has me yearning for book 2!!

This was a pretty good read to get into Taryn's head about things. However, I still don't like her. But I mean, you don't really have to to like the book.

I also was not a fan of the second person POV—it's always an odd feeling. Like as soon as the word "you" is used, I look down at myself, and point to my chest like "who, me?"

But I will say I seriously love Holly's writing, and this was a great novella to get a little more of the world in between the books, along with a different character's POV! Definitely recommend if you love the series!

At first it took me a minute to get into this, and I wasn't sure... But! Once I was in, I was in! Also, can I just say that I totally envisioned the Horned Boy looking like Daniel Radcliffe in Horns!

Loved Hazel and Ben! Teens acting like teens is always a plus! Can I also just say I want to carry around Jack in my pocket. He was so adorable and I felt for the guy! The book definitely is NOT creepy, but it's hard for me to find anything dark or creepy in general when you've been watching horror stuff since like age 2. However, I appreciated all the lovely atmospheric visualization! I found it more intriguing and beautiful vs haunting!

So far I've only read this and The Cruel Prince, and I must say that I liked this one more! I'll be reading Tithe here soon, so I'll get to see how that one is. I know I'm behind, but Holly Black is moving up on my fave author list!

I’m going to have to come back to this one... However, it does have Six of Crows vibes and lovely writing.

I absolutely love the Foolish Kingdoms series! The first two books were absolutely stunning and emotional and this one was just as good!

First, yes, there are cameos from characters from previous books! Also, one is a big side character! Then there is the perfect swoon from the two new characters! Aire is such a sweetheart yet badass, while Aspen is the right amount of cool attitude! Can I also just say I adored the setting of this one which was in the kingdom of Autumn!

I seriously am in love with Jaster's writing. She just has this beautiful way of wording things that sucks me right in! And I'm so excited to read the next book!

I'm mad at myself for not reading this book a long time ago! It was so good and reminded me of when I was in high school before cell phones and social media consumed our entire lives!

I liked Kaye! I felt she was relatable. Yes, she may be a high school drop out, drink, curse and smoke, but not every teen in the world is a perfect angel. And Roiben! Loved, loved, loved him!!!

This world that Holly Black has created is amazing! I love her writing and her descriptions and that everything isn't perfect but can be! Can't wait to read the next one!

I have yet to be disappointed by Demmer's horror short stories! Seriously loved this one! Also, a hint... there's one of my favorite creature's ever in it!!

What impresses me so much is how Demmer always can put such great characterization in short stories! You get a bit of romance, a bit of horror, and a bit of awesomeness! Barry was a relatable character. I felt I would have done some of the idiotic stuff he did when I was his age!

The writing was on point, the setting was perfect, and I can't wait to read more short stories from the author!

So I didn't like this one as much as the first book, but I still loved it! I liked that the characters aren't your typical characters. Like you may not really like them, but you still totally do!

Also, can I just say the troll love was freaking awesome! I liked that Holly Black made the character fall for a troll and not a "hot" troll either! Although, I'm sure he's super adorable because his personality was lovely!

I felt for Valerie a lot, and yes she did some stupid things, yet I still wanted to give her a big hug! This world has sucked me in and I can't wait to start book three right away!!
