Jesus, why do I love dorky fucking men so much? This was super cute and I basically melted reading it. Loved all the family dynamics and friendships and if a man made me a fucking survey for a date (pre or post) I would've fallen all over him like an idiot.

More middle-aged queer books! It was a breath of fresh air after constantly reading about 20 year olds. Man, I'm getting old, aren't I?

Oh I loved this quite a lot, especially the audiobook narrator! Such a macabre setting, yet it was such a sweet love story! I hope that Dunlap writes some more, because this was quite a debut.

I started tuning it out. It just wasn't interesting enough to hold my attention.

I had to sit with this for a bit. I think I agree with most of the other reviewers that the Jackie character was just so over-the-top E.V.I.L. that it felt cartoonish at times. It was just hit after hit with her character coming up with more ways to be a horrible person and cause issues for everyone around her. It just felt unrealistic after a while and the fact that the main characters' problems ALL stemmed from her involvement in their lives made it less interesting after a while.
