Overall, a decent series, but I was getting a little fed-up by the end. There are other ways to bring tension between people than keeping secrets and hurting each other. I think it feels a bit too much like the miscommunication trope for me to enjoy.

But I enjoyed most of the characters, though I probably won't continue the series.

The whole "protect the one I love by not telling the truth" trope has never really sat well with me. As someone who knows that honesty really is the best way to have a stable relationship, it's so annoying when people (and characters) think otherwise. I understand defense mechanisms and all that, but dammmmn is it frustrating and eventually no longer entertaining.
