I disagree with the “lighthearted” tag commonly given to this book. The intense focus on stress/overworking made me feel quite tense while reading. Still, I enjoyed it, and I do agree that the book tries to have many lighthearted moments as well. I just didn’t really feel lighthearted because I felt so stressed for the main character.

This didn't really live up to my expectations. The pacing is kind of weird (there are sudden month long timeskips) and I'm not really rooting for their relationship. I tried to finish this but I'm honestly bored.

DNF. This book has a gorgeous cover. That's about it.

I couldn't get through this. The male lead, Sam, seems okay. The female lead, Penny, is a total bitch, and not in a fun "flawed character" authorial intent way.

She's constantly putting others down, especially other women who dare to show even a smidge of femininity, and all of this is portrayed with an uncomfortable superior-feeling attitude. Basically, the writer seems to think it's edgy to be nasty to others.

Yikes.
