My only question about this book is: Why are all the chapter titles Taylor Swift songs? I wanted an explanation at some point LOL THE TIME STAMPS WERE WRONG TOO AND I DON'T UNDERSTAND.

Enjoyed this book, it's pretty light. There was SO MUCH focus on sex which I found kind of weird. Like, is that the only thing you'd ask you best friend all the time - who they're thinking of sleeping with?? But it's fine, cause they were cute and I loved them.

MACARONS. THEY ARE MACARONS.

I came back for book two, like a masochist, and dragged myself through it. There was so little relationship development and actual time spent together between Callie and Des which was an utter disappointment because that's what I loved about book one.

There was a lot of politics and a lot of strutting about playing with political powers, and some back story on Des, but it was all very meh. And like book one, the end just happened. That was it. Little build up, little explanation, VERY LITTLE closure.

Also, so many stereotypes about black women in this. Temper is sassy, swears a lot, addresses Callie as "bitch" or "girl" more often than her name, and uses excessive amounts of slang. It was a lot. Temper's character is not explored beyond these stereotypes.

Final reaction is still eh. I will not be continuing this series.

I've found a new favourite in XOXO. This book would've brought me so much comfort when I was 16, and I love that it's going to make people feel more seen and heard in the future!

There's a mix of so many things in this book - found family, a love for K-Pop, and an exploration of the beauty of Korea, as well as an introduction to its cut-throat K-Pop culture. The descriptions, the characters, the overall vibe of this book was just so lovely and nostalgic (felt like I was watching a K-Drama or one of those behind-the-scene documentaries of a K-Pop group) - it wasn't full of drama and toxicity, but it didn't shy away from some heavy/intense moments and I appreciated the respect and love given to the genre and its people in this book.

Jenny and Jaewoo are so cute, but I also love that Jenny finds a family for herself in Korea and truly makes strong connections with those around her - a heroine with friends and support and love, ugh, yes, thank you

I love this series, but this book is still my least favourite installment. Everything was just chaos and it really took away from any character development. I needed more motivation for somethings (especially the end), and people constantly questioning Dalton and Casey through this book just frustrated me to bits.
