4.5. Beautiful simple writing. Interesting to learn that the author wrote the book while he faced a terminal illness.

3.5-4 Stars

Wow. Read this one in less than 24 hours. Usually any book that makes me cry gets an automatic 5 stars... but I’ll give this one 4.5

3.5 stars - it took awhile to connect with the characters, but once I did I was into it.

Listened to the audio version... this memoir is like a cross between the memoir The Sound of Gravel and the movie Captain Fantastic

I have an agreement with books that if it makes me cry and brings out that strong of emotions, it gets 5 Stars. That’s what a 5 star book is to me: overwhelming emotions and connection to characters or story. This one had be bawling in the darkness of 1 am and again at 2 pm as I finished. Wow.
