The art is beautiful. I think the illustrator cut out the pieces and made the scenes.
I am not sure I totally got the story. However, it shows that the night is not something that scary but also full of wonders.

Pugtato Finds a Thing is an adorable book which I would totally have bought if I had children. The message was cute. The illustrations were nicely done and I enjoyed it.
For those with a Netgalley account, it's a Read Now and worth your time. For the others, Pugtato comes out on August 10, 2020.

As long as I have been a part of the online book community V.E. Schwab and Vicious, in particular, have always seemed popular. Up until this moment, I never had the opportunity to read one of Schwab's books. But the wait was totally worth it!
Vicious was a ride. The story goes back and forth between the past and the present to unravel the mystery of what happened and what will happen because of it. All the characters are "grey", as in no one is necessarily good or bad and for that adds to how good the writing is.
I recommend this book especially those who like fantasy and mystery books and who also like superpowers.

I found it a fun graphic novel but I also know that I am unlikely to continue with the series. I am looking for a graphic novel that can fill the part of me that misses Saga. Lumberjanes is not that story, unfortunately.

I think I like Laura Steven's YA fiction more compared to her middle-grade fantasy. However, it is still a funny book.

Another hilarious book by Laura Steven. I really like her writing because it makes me smile.
The Love Hypothesis follows Caro who buys pheromone pills in a moment of low self-esteem. These pheromone pills work a bit too well and hijinks ensue.
I can recommend this book to anyone in the mood for a comedy you can fly through.

I love Amanda Lovelace's writing. It's empowering and magical.
2.5 stars. It's an okay book.
Witness Protection Widow follows Ali who is in witness protection because in a few days she has to testify against her dangerous father-in-law. Jax is the new marshal assigned to protect her during the last five days before the trial.
When I started Witness Protection Widow, I was expecting something different which influenced my reading experience throughout. I was expecting more (steamy) romance, especially since Ali and Jax had a history together, but overall, there wasn't a lot of romance. When there was romance, for me, it fell flat. I was not really into it or felt like it was too rushed. Now, I am unsure whether this is the case of all Harlequin Intrigue or just this book since this is the first Harlequin Intrigue book I have read.
I found the most interesting part when it was uncovered what really happened to Ali. She went through a lot. However, the ending was so rushed.

Spoiler
I was surprised the trial was mostly glossed over. And the proposal was also so rushed and I did not like it. I got the feeling it was mostly justified by their previous relationship 10 years ago and I personally just did not like it.
Part of Wednesday Books' blog tour for which I was invited :)
Tweet Cute is definitely the best title for this book.
1) The book is set up around this Twitter war between a New York deli and a big fast-food chain restaurant Big League Burger. Pepper and Jack take on the corporate Twitter account of their respective family business. Little do Pepper and Jack know that they are classmates on the same school!
2) It's so cute.
I really enjoyed this book. I flew through it over just a couple of days. The book is funny. The Twitter war is so snarky, sarcastic and everything I love.
But the book also has a more serious side. There are these amazing conversations between parent(s) and child. Both Pepper and Jack question what they really want to do in their future which was a struggle I could really relate to since that was me as a high school senior and is still me as a Master student.
Overall, I recommend this book to anyone who loves a cute contemporary (and well who doesn't?)
