030. After the Bridge by Cassandra Clare
031. Saga Volume 8 by Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples
2015 was just a great reading year. I started and finished the Lunar Chronicles which is my favorite series to this date. Also, lots of other great books and series: Anna and the French Kiss, Saga, The Starbound trilogy, the Shatter Me trilogy, Red Queen etc.

I recommend this book to everyone.
This book is funny, feminist and... just great!
(Also the cover, guys!)
Following a sex scandal, Izzy O'Neill has to navigate being socially excluded.
Izzy is such a great narrator! I cannot wait for the sequel next year. She is funny. Her narration really reminded me of how Percy Jackson narrated his story. Think sassy, great references and nice funny commentary.
Her best friend Ajita is also hilarious and together they have a nice comedic duo thing going on.
Izzy's grandmother Betty is also so great. I love Betty. She is a great, funny, modern grandmother we would all wish we had.
As for the feminist elements, this book explores (female) sexuality and the double standard around it. The message it sends is just so, so important.
That is why I genuinely recommend this book to everyone.
(Also cannot wait to meet Laura Steven at YALfestNL2018!!)

I listened to the audiobook
I really enjoyed this book and it made me more excited for YalFest NL since Sara Holland will be attending!
This book is very mysterious and the various mysteries kept me hooked.
I liked Jules as the main character and all the other characters were likeable as well.
I think Everless has some really nice worldbuilding and I hope that will be used well in Evermore.

Spoiler
I did not see it coming that Jules is the alchemist. I thought there would have been a different connection with the Sorceress. And I didn't see it coming that Caro was the Sorceress at all. I feel like Everless is a very good first book but it really feels like it mostly sets up the story for Evermore. I did not really care for Roan at all and I felt that Liam might be more than the evil person Jules thought he was (and I was right yay).
I love this book. It is a great finale. Now I'm having a book hangover though...
I think my favourite page is the one with Isaac Grant's notes to all the "kids". I love that he adopted Ella!
God, I was so afraid Ezra had died. I didn't think Nik would die since he was transcribing the last video footage from cameras. But since Ella wasn't doing those anymore, I was afraid that she might have died. On that note, I love that Nik has been transcribing the videos especially considering the lamina beasties in Gemina. It makes sense.
I love that Hanna devised the plan of taking the Magellan... and just so much more.
I cannot recommend this series enough.
