I have come to the conclusion that I love time loops!

In See You Yesterday, Barrett Bloom gets stuck in a time loop. Suddenly every day is September 21st. Oh and the annoying guy from Physics 101 is apparently also stuck.

Together they try to physics themselves out of the time loop. But they also make most of the time loop.

I really enjoyed it and really recommend it if you also like time loops.

The graphic novel is still a fun adaptation. The graphic novel's pacing is very fast, so I still prefer the novels.

I think it's a crime that Percy and Annabeth did not have their white streaks after holding the sky! I have had it often with these adaptations that little details that are important to the fandom are unfortunately skipped. And I think that's sad. Also, Blackjack's love for donuts is gone :(

Quinn's family has a wedding planning business. They expect her to study business at college and work in the family business afterwards. Her family is in business with Tarek's. His family owns a catering company. Tarek is a hopeless romantic and fan of grant gestures (love it when men love romance). Quinn has lost her trust in love and prefers hookups.  At the end of last summer, Quinn confessed her crush on him in the form of a rambling email—and then he left for college without a response. Quinn has been dreading seeing him again almost as much as she dreads another summer playing the harp for her parents’ weddings.

The book is told from Quinn's point of view and I enjoyed her journey towards trust and independence.

I would recommend it, especially to those who loved Emma Lord's Tweet Cute.

I enjoyed learning more about Ada Lovelace and her life. The writing and illustrations really suit the audience.

I really loved this quote:
"There is no need to choose between a family life and a life of the mind. Those who think there is probably don't have much of the second."

This resonated with me as a young woman at the start of her career. It is one of the inspiring lessons young children can take from Ada's life.

Thank you to NetGalley and Rebel Girls for providing me with an e-ARC. This review is my own opinion.

Madam C.J. Walker Builds a Business tells the story of Sarah Breedlove and how she became America's first female self-made millionaire. The illustrations and how her story is told are great for children around middle-grade age. I learnt a lot about Sarah and this also made me watch Netflix's Selfmade, inspired by Madam C.J. Walker's life (also a great show!). It is nice to see her celebrated like this.

At the end of the book are also activities that will inspire young children to build their own business, too!

Amari en de nachtwachters was zo goed! Wat een heerlijk avontuur met een leuk hoofdpersoon. Amari zal de komende generatie inspireren en vermaken met haar verhalen. Ik begin alvast aan deel twee.

I love the Percy Jackson books so I really wanted to explore the graphic novel adaptations. But I do notice as a big fan of the books that these are adaptations. The graphic novel had pretty art and all the beats of the story. But I do miss Riordan's writing. I will continue reading these because I do want to have read just to see.
