This is a beautiful book about identity, literally rediscovering yourself and finding out what you want in life.

Stevie and Nora are secretly in love in their small-minded town. They are planning to leave it all after the summer between high school and college. But everything changes when Stevie falls and hits her head and does not remember the last two years.

Stevie went through a lot after the fall and with her retrograde amnesia. I loved that we got to read snippets of how Nora felt during all of this in her journal, too. This is definitely not the lightest read but I felt hopeful all the way through.

I'm devastated! sob

This book had me oohing and gasping and crying (in public)! This is one of those books where I just knew it would be good. And it is so, so good!

Charity Alyse did it so well!

Why do I always think: "Oh, a Romeo and Juliette retelling! Forbidden love, fun!" and not: "Oh, a Romeo and Juliette retelling! They will probably die at the end :(" and spare myself the heartbreak.

Read this for Yaltival 2023!

Really enjoyed this book! I liked how Alex and Molly worked to get the girl. How they became friends after initial dislike and got the girl (but maybe not the girl they thought they would get).
