Charlotte Stein had this way of describing damaged, lost people, who happen to find each other and find their ways to fit. Abby comes from an abusive relationship, Ivan from a tragedy, and somehow they come to terms with their stories.

And then of course her male characters are the dreamiest of them all

This is a re-read, bit better, since I listened to it, and how I enjoyed it!! Karen Savage (on librivox) is awesome. I loved them all, especially Mr Bennett, and yes, Mr Collins (that pompousness was hilarious), and all the feels. ❤️

Even though I loved the couple, the banter, the sexiness of some scenes (while washing the car/on the phone, twice), I'm afraid suspense romance is not my cup of tea. I didn't expect it to be so gruesome, and it didn't really convince me, plot-wise.

But again, I'm all for down and fast cars, so I did enjoy the characters, A LOT

I received an ARC from Edelweiss plus in exchange for an honest review.

Men reading romance to understand women, a Russian farting, two people with two kids trying to get their marriage back on track, a bunch of guys founding a romance book club for the aforementioned purposes. Did I mention Book Boner? It might look like sci-fi, but it's instead the endearing, hilarious The bromance book club

It starts kind of sad, at least for the tender-hearted that I am, what of Thea and Gavin, a major baseball player, parents of two adorable twins, being on the verge of divorce. But it turns out to be the most laughter/crying inducing book. At about halfway I was laughing so hard, I had to restrain myself, or wake the house up in the middle of the night (did I mention it kept me awake way past bed time?)

If you're looking for a different take on the genre, one that defies stereotypes and toxic masculinity, that makes you mostly ship for two guys, whose banter will have you in pieces (Gavin and Mack hello), look no further.

Oh, and following these two people, Thea and Mack, on their journey through tons of emotional burdens to find out who they really are in order to save their love is the most endearing thing ever.

Bella storia d'amore! (Ma non l'avevo già scritto?) con begli spunti sull'amore, la distanza, il non conoscersi e i segreti
