This must be one of the best romance I've read this year.
Mr. Selby is not a Mr.
The marquess of Pembroke, Alistair de Lacey, is not new to male attractions.
And thus it begins.
Don't you even think it's a fluffy one, it is not, and most importantly, Mr. Selby/Robin/Miss C.C. does not turn herself into a Cinderella, as you'll see in the last few pages (my feelings...). It deals with being men and women there and then, to be accepted for who one is, to make sense of one's priorities. And then it's also sexy. AND THE BANTER!! Seriously! Laugh out loud in the middle of the night kind of banter
I just felt Mr.Selby/Robin/Miss CC might have been the slightest bit less concerned about everyone else but herself, still loved it.

Having read the first 3 about two years ago I couldn't remember everything BUT I love this Comic-book like crazy.
Robots with feelings, humans with no feelings, humans turned robots bc of biotechnologies. Blade runner vibes are strong in this one.
The art is just phenomenal. Water colours are just plain amazing. the contrast between the cruelty and violence of the story and the softness of the panels is stunning. Onto vol.5

A girl went through an accident where she almost drowned and from then on she can’t really remember her previous life. The sister who stares at her in pure hatred looks familiar, her parents look familiar, and yet there’s something off. But who really is off? She or the rest of the world?
Until the story was in between, and I kept asking myself if she lost her mind, or something strange was really happening, I was totally smitten with the book. Loved the moments you couldn’t be completely sure whether they really happened or were the girl’s delusions (she swallowing small dolls, and necklaces to name one). But then the matter settled, and as in all horrors, things got worse. The novel took a sort of Neil Gaimanesque turn, which I do love but didn’t expect here.
The writing however is truly something, and the characters are lovely, and the story unfolds beautifully. I was just expecting something else entirely.

Il DeLillo più faticoso sarà sempre e comunque una gioia, avrà sempre un fraseggio da far venire le lacrime agli occhi e varrà sempre lo sforzo
4 bc I could not put this thing down. BUT I didn't like how she couldn't deal on her own, and I don't like where everything's heading. But for the Cauldron THE TENSION! I'll get back here later
