Charming, hilarious, heart-felt novel. I almost had tears, several times.

Khai is a autistic guy (Michael's from The Kiss Quotient cousin) of Vietnamese origin. His mum goes to Vietnam and comes back with a bride. Meet Esme, hard-working, shy, poor, with a baby daughter and a father disappeared in California. Add forced proximity, cuteness overload, akwardness at all times, misunderstandings, and struggles at figuring out feelings and emotions. All too real, unbearable struggle.

I got slightly frustrated at how Esme kept pushing Khai for the 3 words, since I value actions more than words, it felt gratuitous at times.

I loved Khai's family though, a lot. The way they support each other, the way Quan looks after his younger brother. I can't wait for his own book.

What a read. I'm speechless and empty-hearted.

This might be my favorite Jane Austen, together with P&P of course

Meet Charlotte, a naive avid gothic reader, and Mr Tilney, a slightly smug know-it-all avid reader himself, throw them into a mysterious Abbey, and it's ❤️

This is the funniest Austen ever, just loved it

bellissimo.

4 starts bc Bane is the swettheart and Ruby is the feisty one! That said, it was sooooo slow a burn, at some point I couldn't believe how slow it was (guess flirting at a distance does that to a relationship), and I didn't like the trope of getting to overcome the final ultimate obstacle before getting the HEA, but I guess I'm reading too many romances at the moment and I'm starting to see the cod moving.

That said again, of course I'm gonna read the whole series, have started the novella right away.

Creepy, the first encounter with a beast sets the tone of it all, from the start.
It has quite many issues, from scientific experiments and where do they bring, to what ultimately means to be human. A classic for a reason

great concept, some great points, some real great characters, but I feel like something is missing
